www.earthheartinc.com good scents to help your dog ***CLOSED!!!***

***CLOSED!!!***

My thoughts on Buzz Guard!

Buzz Guard is what I got to test. But, if you win, you can pick either product, Buzz Guard or Canine Calm. Back to Buzz Guard, I liked the size bottle, and the scent. The dogs didn't seem to mind it either. I am sure that common bug products can be very irritable to dogs delicate sensitive noses! I do think that the bugs seemed to not come so close though. The bugs around this area are pretty bad.We have no see-ums, mosquitoes + this one called an Asian Tiger Mosquito.(Don't believe me, Google it!)  You haven't ever seen a mosquito so scary looking. We also have these horrible gnats. They come out at about dark-ish. I'd say about 6ish, give or take 30 minutes. Its around that time that I start herding kids indoors. Its horrible because, it is so hot during the day, and just when it starts to cool off. Its bug-thirty. So I know if they bother me, they are probably bothering them. I see them scratching - poor babies.

Independence Day is quickly approaching and it’s a great time to enjoy with friends and family. But, sadly the July 4th holiday weekend can be very stressful for four-legged family members, as thousands of dogs suffer needlessly from the loud noises of fireworks and the added anxiety associated with busy holiday activities and travel.

Canine Calm is formulated with all natural ingredients, including pure essential oils, such as lavender, tangerine and geranium that have been traditionally used in remedies for relaxation. The product has been recommended by dog lovers and professionals as a safe and effective natural remedy providing relief to over 95% of dogs who experience noise and stress anxieties.
It is easy to use, won’t stain or harm materials, and can safely be sprayed directly onto a dog’s bedding or clothing, or rubbed into their outer ears and abdomen. (For the entire story see the attached press release.)

The full line of Earth Heart products, including Canine Calm, Travel Calm, Buzz Guard and Guard Well, are available for purchase through online and retail stores throughout the US and Canada, via the Earth Heart website at earthheartinc.comand by calling 847-551-1806.

Neem seed oil as an effective natural insect repellant.

Outdoor pests can cause a variety of dangerous illnesses and problems, making protection a vital part of your family’s care. Insect repellents work by masking the human scent or mimicking a scent that insects typically avoid, and are helpful in preventing and controlling insect-borne diseases, such as malaria, West Nile virus and Lyme disease.
Because insect repellents are applied directly to clothing, skin or fur, controversy over the safety of commercial insecticides, particularly those containing DEET, has led to increasing development of natural insect repellents.
Claims abound that natural insect repellants don’t work, but according to reports issued by the Center for Disease Control, certain natural substances, such as essential oil of lemon eucalyptus, have been shown to be as effective as DEET in repelling mosquitoes.
Neem seed oil has been gaining popularity as a natural insect repellent for use on the body and in the garden. The oil is pressed from the fruits and seeds of Azadirachta indica, an evergreen tree native to India, where it has been traditionally used in remedies for a wide variety of skin problems. Neem at just one or two percent of the total product is also an effective insect repellent. Although neem has a strong scent that some people find disagreeable, it masks the scent of the wearer and can prevent insects from landing.
Unlike commercial insecticides that indiscriminately kill insects, neem oil only affects insects that chew or suck. When neem is ingested, it disrupts the insect’s normal functions. Some forget to eat, fly or lay eggs, or they may lay eggs that are sterile. Without food or larvae, the insects will die, leaving insect populations diminished.
This is good news for gardeners, too. Since beneficial insects don’t eat the plants, they are unaffected by neem, unless they are smothered during application of the spray. Plants will continue to be protected even if the spray is washed off by rain or watering systems, because the neem residue will be absorbed along with other nutrients in the soil.
Natural insect repellents such as neem can be a safe and effective alternative to commercial pesticides. The reality is that insect-borne diseases can be a serious health risk to people, animals and plants. Families may need to stock a variety of products, including chemical spot on treatments, that fit different situations and personal comfort zones – or stay indoors for a few days until the swarms have passed.
