Lysol Prize Pack Giveaway! 8/16 ***CLOSED!!!***

***Closed!!!***

Lysol has started the Lysol Mission for Health. A program that extends to our homes, schools, communities and beyond. Learn more at: http://lysol.com/missionforhealth

In this giveaway you will need to interact with Lysol through their social media for entries.
There are a lot of extra entry methods for this giveaway, something for everyone.
I will give you instructions after you read this post, plus you can earn some extra entries by commenting here about things I talk about in this post and I will also have some questions for you.
But before we get into all of that- please let me tell you what Lysol is generously giving away. They have partnered with Mom Select & Locomotion of Expressions ... yours truly - to bring you a lovely prize pack to help you get your home and self more germ-free!
Because germs are bad .. mmm-kay?

One winner will receive from this giveaway the exact same prize pack that I won!

(1) Lysol No-Touch healthy hands soap dispensing system + (1) container/package of Lysol 2 in 1 disinfecting wipes!

Cost - The wipes are usually 2-3$ and the no touch starter system is usually around 10$. It generally depends on where you buy it at.

It's almost that time of the year again, The summer weather is getting hotter by the day, the kids are driving you more up the wall every day you don't think you can tolerate much more - and you hear bells in the back of your mind. Bells???? Yes! bells. Back to School bells signaling relief is near! Its almost time to put the kiddies back in school. Putting them back in school may relieve one problem but it creates a whole new one as well. Germs. If you are a germaphobe like me, then you are well stocked with hand sanitizer and long preaches about the importance of hand washing. All those kids in one area, and majority of them don't wash their hands. The ones that do- don't do it properly. Especially with the younger crowd like my daughters age group/class.
But with Lysol's help- I'm going to share with you some helpful tips on keeping the kiddies less germ-y!

First - here is children's poster (It is a .pdf file you will need adobe to view) http://lysol.com/pdf/handwashing-poster/handwashing.pdf to hang in your bathroom to remind/istruct your children about the importance of washing their hands!
Then, read this post: Young Children ages 3-5    -   Elementary school (age) kids.  -   Older kids + info about MRSA.
Do yourself & your kids a favor and read one of those posts relevant to you. You may think you know it all already, but I guarantee there is something interesting that you might not have known. Also, that is where you find answers to some of the extra entry questions (below) to win your own Lysol products!

Lets start with my opinion of the Lysol No-Touch hand soap system-

I myself, saw this come out a while back, and though- great.. something else I will have to put batteries in. I figured it wouldn't last long (the soap) and I was pretty much just skeptical. But I am coming around I have to admit. I guess what surprised me, is even though the soap container is smaller than we usually use, less soap is dispensed than one pump of a different soap dispenser. So basically- what I mean is: the pump I usually use wastes more. The amount it puts out is small, but it's also just right! The refills cost the same as any other hand-soap refill, and its great that it doesn't drip all over the counter like my daughter somehow manages to do with every other hand soap dispenser I place in the bathroom. The only thing is- you have to be careful when you move it around. Where you pick it up by is important. If it detects your hand grabbing it to move it (to say- clean, or what have you) it will pump soap onto you! So long as you grab it from behind, though- it should be OK.

The Lysol No-Touch hand soap dispensing system is better than it was before though. Because it used to come in white, but now it comes in the stainless steel look. I'm glad that's the one they sent to me!  It is so much cuter than before. I personally , am not digging white anything with kids in my house!

Did you know that this product won 2011 Product of the Year? I enjoyed the scent they sent too: aloe. It left fragrance on my hands for a while, which I enjoy a soap that does.
The fragrances available?

"Antibacterial hand soap refills for the Lysol® No-Touch Hand Soap System are enriched with moisturizing ingredients and available in four great scents:
·         Refreshing Grapefruit Essence™
·         Soothing Cucumber Splash™
·         Aloe Vera & Vitamin E with Moisturizers
·         Antibacterial Total Care."

The wipes!
Ahh my favorite splurge in the store. I was already a big supporter of the wipes. I use them sparingly though, and try not to use more than one a day, not because I am cheap, but because of the environmental impact. I have to admit, I have been a big fan of all the wipes that have came out though. These in my opinion- are the best I have encountered as of yet. I also- again, the ever so skeptical me, was at the first commercial come on! What will they think of next? But the scrubby tough side actually does help them perform better. Now it is the only wipe I will use. I say splurge, not because they are expensive, but because we try to cut back spending on anything that is not a necessity. But I have to say, I get these on base for two dollars. SO I justify it that way. They are extremely affordable. They last me a long time too. So- needless to say; I was so glad to get some for free in the mail. I <3 these things!

I also want to take a second to tell you about the Lysol No-Touch Stainless Kitchen Sweepstakes going on right now on their Facebook page.
It's a really quick form to fill out- Probably only take you 60 seconds. You never know, you might be the winner!     Enter Now! (click here!)

Share a story with us of when you had an extreme cleaning disaster!

My husband and I went to a grape festival and participated in the grape stomp competition (he won!). At the end they give you your grape juice in a jug from the stomp, which they cork loosely so you can take it home. You are supposed to remove the cork ASAP due to fermentation. We got home late and figured it could wait until morning. About 4 am we heard an explosion in the kitchen. The pressure in both bottles had built so high it blew the corks and grape juice spewed up to the ceiling and all over the counters an floor. It was a huge clean-up job! (We had to repaint the entire ceiling).

How did Lysol® clean it up?

I happen to have the wipes on hand. Once the largest part of the mess was wiped up, I used the Lysol wipes to get the "stickiness" off of the counters and cabinets.

Designate an area near the door where everyone can take off their shoes and drop their bags when they come inside. This helps reduce the tracking of dirt and germs throughout your home.

In one of the links we talked about in this post. Lysol states that "The germiest place in the classroom is the..."

Traditionally, classrooms are breeding ground for germs. Every desktop, pencil sharpener, doorknob and faucet that an infected child touches becomes colonized with germs.

Not sure this exactly what you wanted, but I can't find a statement showing the "germiest" place in the classroom. Hope it's good enough. I really did spend ALOT of time looking - LOL!
