Vedette makes high quality shapewear that is designed for your problem area. (Buttocks, Waist, Thigh & Hips!) It is very comfortable and durable. I know because I was sent one to review. I wore it all day. In fact- I was more comfortable with it on than I was without it.
A lot of their shapewear is not full body. It is designed to be worn with a bra. This was confusing to me at first, because I do not read websites so good before purchasing. (GASPS! I am an impulse purchaser!) So I was a little shocked when I pulled it out of the package and saw that it was a bra-less body. The pictures on their site look as if they are full coverage breast area because the bra's they use in the pictures are the exact same color as the waist cinchers. I suppose I was thinking more along the lines of a corset. The 1st garmet they sent me was the Jacqui, which I ignorantly requested. While its incredibly nice, it is not near as comfortable (on me) as the Amaline. However some women might be turned off by the open rear and thong back that Amaline has.
By the way.. there are pics of me in the Amaline below, so if you don't want to be mooned, then press that little red X in the top right corner of your browser now.
I wasn't fond of the Jacqui because it sits directly under my breasts, which makes wearing it very uncomfortable, because of past surgeries. I did take pics of myself in it, and I want to touch on that for Vedette, really. Honestly, I feel bad that they had to send me another. These garments are expensive, and I was thinking I would swap one for another, but they let me keep Jacqui. (Thank you, btw!) I guess they have certain areas they want to promote of their shapewear because I would've chose the purple one below (Veronique) but I was limited to my selection, which is why you are about to be mooned.
I have to admit though, my derriere is one area that needs work. First of all, I have a big butt. Lucky me, big butts are in. But as I get older, its not as perky.. :( I'm now 27 and I have two kids, my tummy, is not as firm, and I am definitley not as small as I used to be. My problem areas, are actually all of the above. Thighs. Lovehandles. Rump, and Tummy. That's why I chose the Amaline. Simply because this ONE shapewear compresses and smooths out ALL of these areas! The pics turned out OK, even if they are a bit risque for the blog. And you can tell that it makes my enormous butt stand at attention. (LOL)
The Amaline zips and is also under breast (bra-less) but doesn't sit too close to them. It has shoulder straps for support, and zips as well as has hook & eye closure. The colors it is available in are black and nude. I appreciate the Nude color, because it wouoldnt be as noticeable underneath a dress. I do, however, wish the straps were removable.
Their shapewear runs from 24$ to 175$. It is afforable, but not too cheap where you question the quality. However they do have Sales all the time (such as right now!)that combined with these Coupon Codes = a really great deal!
Why I like shapewear? I love a tight boned corset, and these are very similar to those! Its comfortable to me. I feel like I don't have to walk aorund sucking in all the time. I have became a full-figured woman. If you knew me when I was younger you would never have seen that coming. I am a lot bigger. When I was younger I was a size 5. Now I am a size 9. I feel uncomfortable in a lot of my clothes and self conscious about the weight I have put on with my last pregnancy (a year ago) for some women its easy to lose weight. I suppose they must have more willpower than me then. I love food! Its hard for me, I like ice cream, I like french fries, I love chocolate. I do not seem to understand portion control or just saying NO! But I am most certainly about to get my "shapely" butt back in the gym, that's for sure.
