Wisdom of Wool features sustainable organic products made of wool sheep natural fibres. Browse their wool shop, see wool products and learn the benefits of choosing wool. The winner of this giveaway (1) will win ONE wool bolus standard pillow with zipper. I have one, and it is so comfortable! I love pillows, and like most women, I have to have many of them in my bed. Apparently my head prefers that pillow, because when I wake up that's the one I am on. Before I got this one, I would wake up on my husbands pillow. One night, he tried to shove me off of it in my sleep (I do not remember this BTW...) and I told him; "Isn't it time for you to go to work?" LOL!
Is the pillow washable? We have heard that question many times. We are happy to announce that now we have washable wool bolus pillows!
Wool Bolus Pillows, are full of pea-sized organic wool puffs instead of layers of batting, so they’re fluffable, scrunchable, and completely pliable with superior loft and springiness. Plus, bolus pillows are washable because the wool puffs are essentially pre-felted. To machine-wash, use only the soak cycle (cold) followed by the spin cycle – agitation can make the puffs clump together – and tumble dry on no-heat or hang dry.
Wool is ideal for pillows because it’s naturally resistant to dust mites and it’s flame-retardant without the use of toxic additives. Wool breathes well to help regulate body temperature.
The organic wool used in this organic wool stuffing is from sheep raised organically in the United States, and it is processed in California. Organic wool processing is, of course, much kinder to both the fibers and the planet; mild biodegradable soap is used, much of the waste water is recycled, harsh chemicals are never used to remove plant matter tangled in the fleeces, and the fibers aren’t bleached. There are other differences to conventional processing too — the wool isn’t carbonized or chemically crimped, the sheep aren’t dipped in pesticides or subject to mule sing, and the sheep have a proper amount of well-managed pastureland. The mill works with farmers to encourage predator-friendly approaches (using guard dogs and guard llamas to protect the sheep rather than killing the wolves and other predators that are an essential part of healthy ecosystems).
Wool products. Naturally flame retardant & hypo allergenic. No added chemicals. Help eliminate dust mites & bedbugs. Naturally healthy & non-toxic way of living.
