#sunscreen helps provide relief at #TALBOT #ameliaIsland #CopperToneWaterMom Summer part 2, scene 2.... :-)

 WE LOVE COPPERTONE!  Don't you?

I love being a Coppertone Water Mom. They supply us with a bunch of sunscreen every year, and usually a cool towel. I like this towel they sent better than the last one. The towel is always my favorite part!  Not the sunscreen.. lol. Although I do appreciate the sunscreen, it saves us money really. I love the suncreen sticks they sent this year best because they cannot leak in my beach bag! Small too, but efficient.

My kids have been raised around beaches because we are a military family. That is not to say all Navy/Coast Guard families go to the beach as often as we do.. I just happen to love it and never get tired of it.

Unfortunately- even though we live on the water its an inland, and very marshy. Pretty- but not "beach worthy" in order to get to a beach you can drive north to Brunswick/Jekyll Island, or travel south into Florida to Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island. Its a "touristy" destination with a very CROWDED public beach. Finding a space is hard and there are people everywhere!

Not to mention the water always seems a bit rougher, whether it be high tide or low tide. I do not claim to know anything about tides at all, even though I should living so close to them.... Not enough time in the day I 'spose. Perhaps the location or islands near it make the water break rougher? I do know if you drive past the Omni Resort hotel in Amelia Island (that I have not so successfully tried to be a travel blogger for *sad face*) and past the gorgeous 1mi long fishing bridge (George Crady) you get to Big Talbot State Park and Little Talbot State Park where the water is calmer.

I stumbled over them by accident.. paid to drive in (just a few bucks..) and what do you know? After going to public beach for a year I finally had found a better spot to go! (This was a while back though.) Now it is usually the only place I prefer to go to.

You can see from our pictures the beach is practically empty. I love how groomed and manicured they keep it, while preserving its natural beauty.  Its a gorgeous environment and worth a look-see. Main Beach doesn't hold a candle. Worth the money to park, for sure.

The scenic walk to the beach is pretty long if you are holding a bunch of stuff, toys, towels, chairs, drinks, food etc (and we ALWAYS are) but even still.. the walkways that cover the dunes are so pretty!

There are grills and covered picnic tables available for reservations, celebrations and etc. The bathrooms are clean and kinda cool looking. There are outside showers and inside showers.

There's usually not a ton of people there, that is the best part. I could stay all day! BUT when in the sun all day, you definitely need to use a sunscreen for protection.  That is why I love Coppertone and have trusted them to protect us but also be gentle. Most of my family tans VERY fast.. but my husband is freckled so he will burn. We lather him up and I gotta tell you, this one time.. I must've been chasing/fussing at our kids while applying it to his back, and missed a spot or two, and he burned in those spots. So that should tell you how good this stuff is.

Coppertone is necessary when you stay at the beach all day like we do! I know we were there for 5+ hours this past weekend.  If I am going to drive 25min or so to get to a beach, I'm going to spend some time there. Plus - the kids love it, so it's good that we are protected enough to stay as long as we like, knowing Coppertone and their fab #WaterMoms have our back!

We love love Little Talbot island. Was just there a couple of weeks ago. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit and no sunburns here either thanks to Coppertone!

Great photos!
