#2 ( & 3!) NOT TO BE MISSED!  -  The Little Mermaid's 2 Disc Combo pack  The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning and The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea  on BLURAY + DVD 3 disc collection!

What little girl my age didn't grow up wished she was a mermaid who lived in the sea? I mean, with all the mermaid princess sisters and overbearing (but adorable) protective father King Triton with goofy friends like Flounder and forever aggravated Sebastian? Sounds like fun to me!
The music and tunes on the original I grew up with were unforgettable  and these will be to you and your little ones too!

But most little girls wanted to swept off their feet by Prince Eric and become a legit princess with goofy shaggy mammoth dogs defeating the evil likes of URSALA.

Areil & Eric's story continues in their lovable daughter and she "Returns to Sea"!

As for me, I especially liked Ariels Beginning a pre-quel to the original. I prefer this of the tow movies, but my little girls: Devonny (age 3) and Giana (age 8) much like The Little Mermaid 2 best! I think because Melody is just so darn cute and mischievous  just like her mother!

Check out the clips from this movie too!

Disney's amazing undersea classic lives on in an all-new story bursting with the same captivating musical style, unforgettably colorful characters, and brilliant animation that made the original film an Academy Award(R)-winning favorite. After rejoicing over the birth of their daughter Melody, Ariel and Eric must face a new threat from Ursula's revengeful sibling Morgana -- a threat that forces them to hide Melody's true mermaid heritage. Melody, a young princess curious about her roots, ultimately ventures into the sea against her parents' wishes.

There, she meets new friends, and in her dream to be a mermaid becomes a pawn in Morgana's plot to gain control of the Seven Seas. Ariel must reunite with her childhood friends Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle to rescue her daughter and restore harmony to her family. An all-star cast returns, including Jodi Benson (Ariel) and Samuel E. Wright (Sebastian), for a remarkable adventure teeming with surprises and four phenomenal new songs.

If you have a little girl who you want to share these magical mermaid stories with, this would be a perfect gift for your little mermaid lover!

#4 - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Super Adventure! Is perfect for a little boy OR girl and definitely toddlers!

Both my girls are aged 3 and 8 years respectively. Even though this cartoon should be out of the range for my ultra-smart 8 year old, she still watches it and especially enjoys it.  I actually still remember when my 8 year old daughter Gigi was very young, Disney Junior (which has been oh-so successful!) premiered this with the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Little Einsteins right around the same time. Don't quote me on it, but I am estimating the date to be around 2006. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse took off successfully and has become a hit in ours (and every other) house with cable and a small child.

I love that it is educational and the kids love that it is vividly animated (animation has come such a LONG way, huh?) and I love that it's educational. The kids love that it has catchy songs, and I love that it keeps them busy long enough for me to if not clean up the house at least kinda catch up to them. Slow them down for 20 minutes or so (if you will.. and don't judge me) so I can pick up the floor just long enough to sweep it. I love that this show keeps putting out fresh episodes and movies for the huge fans out there (like my kids) and it's got some "Simpsons" staying power. Well, really- just Disney staying power is closer to home!

If you don't know what to buy for a small toddler (aged 3-6) this DVD is probably a perfect gift for them! It is not available yet, but you can pre-order it on Amazon for only $13.86 w FREE Super Saver Shipping!  Link here
