We're in the middle of summer, and it's starting to come into the home stretch. You know, not quite new anymore. Sleeping in late, getting tired of having nothing to do, or worse- nothing to watch on television?

Being stuck at home with all this rain (if you live on the eastern side of the good old USA, we've had some Torrential downpour in the South). While I am not directly on the coast (anymore) I still live in Central Alabama, and Tropical Storm Chantal has been soaking the Atlantic coast for a bit, plus even before HER we had sooo much rain and tornadoes and thunderstorms. Lightning was quaking and thunder was literally shaking the floor of the houses. So with all that rain night and day, the kids have been stuck inside a bit more than they are used to. It can make your role as a parent become more challenging during the summer months, right?

When you're stuck at home during the summer, not wanting to go out in either the pouring rain, or the humid days you can use streaming Netflix (like my family does) to make the summer months less challenging.
Also, how do you make your family’s movie nights special with Netflix? We like to either make popcorn, or make cookies or brownies before the movie so we have a warm snack to munch on while we watch! Mindless eating, but memories as well!

 I like that these movies on the newly- launched Family Movie List inspire creativity and bring my family closer together, giving us some fab summer memories. The other day, we watched Tinkerbell, (its been a while since it came out, so also a bit since my eldest has seen it and she wanted to watch it) she suggested that we paint our nails glittery while we watched it. Since I'm a little inattentive to cartoon kids movies (even though I pretend to be, I go a little ADD...) it's the perfect task to keep me occupied and hands busy while they watch. Then after the movie they (my 8 and 3 yr old girls) decided to get their Tinkerbell figurines out and play with their Barbies, playing fairies... they even got out their fairy wings too!

 I feel I should also point out the categories are always spot-on too. Not your run of the mill genres, but more specific. My favorite category to scroll through is always "Catch-Up TV for Busy Parents". Because I sometimes don't know what to watch, but I love how they suggest and seem to know exactly what shows are good, that I would actually like.

 I never experience any problems with my Netflix at home, and I love how regularly this brand puts new movies on their queue for us to watch, all while bringing it us LOADS cheaper than cable. Actually, we don't have cable- and haven't for a while. I just got tired of paying that much to only watch a few channels and have no control over whats is actually on. I got tired of flipping for 100$ a month. But perhaps one day we will turn it back on- but I am enjoying Netflix for now and have been for a while.

My husband (as some of you may know) recently came back form Deployment, and it was one of the hardest we have had, even though he wasn't gone as long- because it seems like everything breaks. This time, more stuff broke than usual. Here are the things that broke--

1. The air conditioner (2x) in the sweltering fl/ga atlantic ocean heat.
2. Both Vaccums
3. PLUS my Neato Robotic Floor cleaner (my daughter dropped it in the floor and broke the wheel.
4. My Keurig
5. My Sodastream
6. We had money stolen from our bank acct ($600)  - walmart online specifically, and I had to get that money back.. 
7. My daughter dropped her toothbrush down the bathroom drain (she is 2) intentionally- and it got clogged...
8. My Clothes Dryer quit working
9. I think there's more but now that Noah is home is slowly fixing everything.

On top of taking care of the house, the bills, the garden, the kids, the pets, myself, the yard .. school, everything alone....
Thank god, our health was good and my car didn't break down!
So it definitely Could've been worse.
Which is why I know sometimes when he's not around I have to be strong for him and for our 2 daughters. I have to know when to act soft or strong in  my life and with my family. Now that he is home again, it's time to go back to being softer more feminine.

 When do you think it is appropriate to be soft or strong with your family and loved ones?  I think it's appropriate to be both at all times. Women today have more responsibility and demands than women of older eras. Women are expected to be work just as hard- if not harder than our male counterparts.
I feel like I am supposed to be able to do some of these things; but I don't know how to fix a dryer, and it seems silly to pay a repairman, when he will be home in a few weeks to fix it.. 
You know what I mean?
 I am sure he has a rough time when he's gone being separated from the children, but it's never a cakewalk here either. I know they work him so hard, but I can't get away from the kids much, and therefore I get stressed out.

Here's what I thought. This stuff is pretty stout. I would call it the Whiskey of Menthol Mouth Products. It takes a bit of getting used to. If I was sent the original then I would hate to see how powerful the Extra Strength OraMd is!

This product claims that Toothpaste is bad. This is not the first time I've heard this, and a lot of toothpastes have even taken the extra step to remove SLS from toothpastes, as people with Canker Sores and Cold Sores can get aggravated by this ingredient. Have you ever heard the warnings about not swallowing Fluoride? But why? We put it on our gums? It soaks into our body, right? Why is it OK to brush but not to swallow? You are going to swallow it, duh!

You know what though? I have noticed a big change in my guyms and brushing habits, as strong as it is, and as much getting used to as it took, I have to admit, I quite like it. The other day I couldn't find it, and I had to use my husbands prescription Prevident, and it left my mouth feeling coated with film and not nearly as clean and fresh as when I brush with the OraMD. My problem is, I forget to brush as often as I probably should. I assume most people besides dental professionals would also have this same problem. but with the OraMD I find myself actually wanting to brush more. it's pretty neat and I found my bottle by the way. my small baby (aged 2) took off with it and set it in my kitchen windowsill!
