so im pretty sure

i have strep throat it hurts so bad to swallow. y o y cant people just stay at home when they are sick and stop getting innocent people in their town sick. like me? must i carry a germ ex and use a bottle per day trying to eliminate stupid people sicknesses frm my hands all day long? ugh! im especially susceptible to these things a) bc im pregnant my immune system is down. b) bc i never had my tonsils taken out, which is something im now seriously considering (after i have the baby of course) anyway so i was reading up about strep throat and i find that it has been proven in a study that strep throat during pregnancy has been linked to heart problems in the child. if left untreated.. so thats scary
anyway upon further reading i also found something else that i have never even heard of.
strep of the puss.
yea u heard me right.
SAY WHAT?

vhttp://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061009/NEWS01/610090321

or run a google search for strep b.

OMG ....... enough!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090927/ap_on_re_us/us_more_school

I'm so sick of Obama, there's been so much crap- especially directed toward the military which as u know or may not. my husband serves in the us navy and directly affects our life. one big thing i hope doesn't happen is he wants to take away the veteran insurance to help deflect the national deficit. there are so many other ways to do that- and its not fair he tried to take away re-enlistment bonuses and actually did for a while and changed it. now this school crap. parents do not have enough time with their kids after their work days anyway. countries have smarter kids than us, not because of the fact that they are in school longer, but BC they are harsher on them and set the bar high to be met at expectations, by "shaming their family" and harsh punishments. this is what needs to happen BC we are so slack on our kids that the cps or dhr will straight take your kids away for anything. now i do not discipline Giana in any harsh manner BUT I'm saying that even if you do not, lets say your kid falls and gets a bump on their head or maybe you have an enemy and someone maybe even the kid is just SAYING THAT YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING,. they take your kids away and its damn near impossible to get them back. then they end up in our foster system which sometimes they will get placed in a good home, but lets be real not usually, so then they are in worse hands than before and grow up to be total bad asses bc they didn't have mommy and daddy love, and like the foster parents are going to keep them on the straight and narrow. most of them do it for the money.
we can not make our kids better by taking away more parent/child time but there are plenty of other ways. please do no re-elect this dude, hes done quite enough damage. now don't bash me on this, but i usually don't even care one way or the other, but this is affecting me. none of the other presidents have enforced policies this major and life changing that i remember, he is also trying to change the health-care reform in this country. which form what i have heard, which like i said i do not follow the politics, BC i do not care, usually i think well i could run over by a truck tomorrow and none of this shit matters. i prefer to spend my time on earth not about worry about the assholes in government and what they are doing, but spending time with my family. so blast me for saying that and say i am whats wrong with this country. i will disagree with you and tell you that i would be more interesting in watching golf. which i think would be a worse punishment for a child than standing in time out for 5 hours!!!!! if I'm not informed i shouldn't vote. and that's WHATS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY! the healthcare does need reformed but not the way he wants t do it.

deathly afraid of spiders

and i leave the hotel room at the st Marys NGIS (navy gateway inn & suites) tvq where i am staying for the past week and for the next week. and b4 i slam them for the spiders, i have had one bad experience here before, but we'll get to that in a minute, but otherwise every-time i come here, something bad going down, i will say that the rooms are nice for 40 $ you get a full kitchen fridge and sink and it has a few essential dishes MINUS a stove, but there is a centralized kitchen area with a stove and an but we've never used it, we just buy microwave food. its easier. well anyway its got huge closets. two TVs and two DVD players, a pull out bed in LR and a bedroom w a door that closes (which is essential seeing as us navy wives don't see our husbands for months at a time, and those like me, that do not live with their husbands, need privacy form their children while the are staying in hotels here, BC i know NOONE here, and the ones i do i do not know well enough to keep m child, so i have NO babysitter.. :( pooh!. b4 say anything, and before i continue any further, the 1st thing i want to interrupt your train of though on is NO, this isn't the army, and there is no FREE hotel, idk if that's something reserved for the reserves but it is an option for some people, but for us, it is not. there is nowhere the navy provides us free to stay to visit. think how many enlisted there are on ANY given base, now think abut the water and power employees, supplies and things needed to "house" these people. plz believe I'm getting a great deal on this room, but they cant afford to house every person for free to visit, that's what they pay them money for. its their sole discretion as to what they spend it on. for us it means, we will be broke in the coming months (EVEN IF WE WERENT TRYING TO BU YA HOUSE) BC of my conjugal (lol) visit.. haha!
OK so where was i? i jut had to add that BC i get that SOOOO MUCH, everyone seems to know someone who has stayed fr free and that is just not so,
now the hotel is cute, i have free laundry services, which isn't dry cleaning mid you bu a laundry room with a bunch of washers and dryers i have at my disposal, (quarter free!) lol- so its nice, the issue this time however is the spiders..
idk what kind of spiders these are but usually i think spiders are semi territorial and will not group up the way this breed does, but i am pretty tall so the outside walkway to my motel door, the "ceiling" for lack of a better word is about 10 inches above y head. i can quite literally reach my arm up and touch it, (this is important later) there are (and i counted) 30, YES THIRTY spiders in span of 15 ft. from the door 204, to my door, 206 scattered along this ceiling, this is where the height of the ceiling falls into place, 10 inches form dropping on my head. they most all of them are either carrying insects they killed and wrapped or their eggs on their butts, idk. I'm not an insect person, i hate BUGS. anyway they ain't nuthin to scoff a either, I'm talking not tiny, not big, big enough to give you chilly bumps when you pass underneath them , terrified the are about to drop on your head. they are nesting near the flood lights that come on at night c the bug, naturally, flock around that area, but when i tried to ell front desk about these spiders, they walked down and said there was none, strangely BC they disappear at daytime? nocturnal spiders? i guess they are crawling up into the ceiling area, which isn't stone but some kinda vinyl with hole sin it breathable thing, so i had t get one to walk p with me that night and she counted them with me, but seriously, GROSS. then of course that was yest and this Friday and they cant spray til Monday, BC its the weekend. and I'm leaving what Wednesday/ i swear i i get bit!!!!! OMG!!! the last incident i ad here, ah- i hate O EVEN RELIVE IT BYT YPING ABOU IT, NTM, ITS A LONG STRY, THAT WULD REQUIRE QUITE A BIT OF EXPLAINING TO MAKE ANY SENSE @ ALL TO YOU, the reader, but ima tell u anyway. ok here's what happened....

we had a room here for 7 days. idk y but our key kept changing, not every day mind you but randomly. my Taurus, being the pos pain in the rear that it is, needed work, Noah took it to the auto mechanic bay on base- that has tools and lifts and you pay 3 $ an hour to use, well, he left us in the room, naturally, the park to this hotel was right outside our bottom floor hotel room, FRONT DOOR, so basically, you walk out the door, there it is. i made sure to bring the room key, and my phone, and i let her play, i go to return to the room, alas! my key doesn't work so I'm annoyed that i now in heels have to walk yet again to the front desk to be let in my room. there's this buck toothed rude black woman at the desk, don't take that the wrong way i have lots of black friends, if she was Spanish i would tell u as well, race isn't the problem, her attitude was. Anyway, continuing on with my story, she wouldn't let me have the card, even though, they were SUPPOSED to have me listed on the room, and had seen me in there everyday with Gigi AND Noah at snack and drink machines, as well as the free laundry room is attached to front desk room, do that they see you go in and out. they knew i was allowed in, but yet they said they needed to call him to get his approval. Him being the retard dumb-ass that he has been known to be, left the phone in the car whole he was under it, instead of in his pocket, god forbid wed have had a real emergency and he drove the mustang to the auto hobby shop to work on the Taurus, BC it had set there all night the day before where he couldn't finish it b4 the closed. so i had no car and he didn't have his phone on him!@? not cool Noah, they couldn't get him, so I'm like "what now?" they told me i would have to wait!!!! I'm calling his phone non-stop i know he has it on him I'm thinking, if i keep calling hell eventually answer, AND I AM PISSED!!!!! IM LIKE OMFG, If you know me, you know i wear dresses and heels and that day was in June, it was over 100 degrees outside. i had to walk across base, mind you its only a mile , but through tall grass and weeds, dragging my three year old, in HEELS and a dress. in the heat. i cussed him out naturally, and had to get him to stop what he was doing to drive me back to the hotel and let me in! you wanna see mad? i was PISSED! so would i recommend some stay here? the rooms are nice, but the front desk is negligent and there are spider infestations.
so your call i guess!

The great folks at Purely Products sent me a Purely Anion Clean Green Lightbulb to review and to give one away to a lucky reader! I am trying hard to get into a more "green" way of living, eco friendly detergent, beauty products, and home products. I was intriqued with this light bulb when I read about it on their website.
This bulb has a built in negative ion generator. What is that important? It is very interesting. Tons of things around us emit positive ions making us tired, depressed and irritable. Some of these everyday items include computers, TVs, other electrical devices and harmful building materials. The negative ions generated from this bulb removes those positive ions leaving the air clean and pleasant. They call them Vitamins in the Air! The negative ions in this bulb removes cigarette smoke, pet dander, dust mites, reduces e-coli and is ozone free after 3 hrs! It leaves your air cleaner, fresher and healthier. Now that is a multi-tasking light bulb!!

All of these benefits sold me on it for sure. We put the one we got in one of the spots in our ceiling fan in the living room. We left it on all day. When we got home, my dh swore he thought the room smelled more fresh. Hey, works for me! And now if we can get rid of some irritated attitudes from having them, I will buy one for each light in my house! :)
Seriously, the bulb is worth every penny it sells for (around $20) The light omits a soft glow too which is very welcoming. And most negative ion generators of this type sell for more than $50 elsewhere!

I WON AGAIN! this makes 4!!! yayayayayay! me!

spanking doesnt solve anything

Spank out day.
I wrote a blog post about why we don't hit our children. So today is National Spank Out day and I encourage everyone if you do use cor pal punishment to stop just for today and think about other ways you can discipline your children without violence. If it works for today then why not do this everyday? I will admit I am a "former spanker", I had Jake when I was very young and I didn't know any better. I have not used spanking or hitting to discipline for several years. I have noticed a positive change in his attitude and behavior. I will admit there have been time when I have thought to myself "if I could just give him one good spanking he would do better". I know that was just because I was frustrated and over whelmed. If you have time today spread the word about spank out day! Small defenseless children to not deserve to be hit.

Ten Reasons for NOT Hitting Children

Physical punishment increases the
risk of child abuse. It is easy to hit too hard and cause injuries like bruises,
broken bones, welts, and nerve damage.

Physical punishment erodes trust between a parent and a child.

Physical punishment, when administered regularly, is related to a
worsening of behavior rather than an improvement in behavior. It increases
antisocial behavior such as lying, stealing, cheating, bullying, assaulting
siblings or peers, and lack of remorse for wrongdoing.

Hitting children transmits a pro-violence attitude. It teaches that it
is acceptable to hit persons who are smaller and weaker.

Fear is not an effective way of teaching appropriate behavior. Fear may
lead children to obey only when the person who hits them is nearby.

Children who are frequently hit often grow up with childhood memories
of anger and resentment.

Children are often hit for behavior which is not "bad" behavior but
rather behavior which is related to needs for attention, nutrition, sleep, and
exploring.

Hitting a child for misbehavior means the caretaker loses an important
opportunity to teach a more appropriate behavior.

While hitting a child may stop a misbehavior for the moment, other
methods like time out, reasoning, talking, and implementing non-violent
consequences work as well or better and do not have the potential for harm that
hitting children does.

Better alternatives exist. Children learn best through teaching,
discussing, and observing adults who model responsible, caring and
self-disciplined behavior.
http://www.stophitting.com/index.php?page=10reasons2

Ten Guidelines for Effective Discipline of Children

The goal of discipline is to teach children acceptable behavior.

Whenever possible, teach children what you want to see rather than punishing them.

View children's misbehavior as a mistake in judgment. It will be easier to think of ways to teach more acceptable behavior.

Never hit or shake infants. They do not know right and wrong. They do not misbehave on purpose. They need love and protection, not punishment.

Create a safe environment for children. Baby-proof the house.

Distract or remove infants and toddlers when they are doing something they shouldn't be doing.

Provide order and consistency. Whenever possible have regular times for meals, studying and bedtime.

Give toddlers and preschoolers age-appropriate choices and consequences.

Establish family rules that are appropriate for children's ages.

Keep them few in number with clear and reasonable consequences for not obeying.

Develop a trusting relationship with children by protecting them from harm, by being honest and trustworthy, and by exhibiting predictable and mature behavior.

Children need to hear more good things about themselves than bad things. Offer praise for appropriate behavior. Praise will increase that behavior.

Adopt a "no-hitting" attitude. No one has a right to hit anyone else in the household...that includes hitting children for misbehavior.

u know what i feel like talking about 2day?

two things...

a) plz some1 follow my blog- i have myself following (yea thats pretty pathetic>>>>) and my good friend Nicole! :( thats it! so i went on a quest to follow all kinds of blogs and i have. hopefully they will return the favor!

b) does anyone besides me think that the "giveaways" that YOU ARE REQUIRED to check back on and confirm your own entry to win are just plain silly?

bc i know that even if some1 did enter just that giveaway - they might forget to check back in a timely manner or like me, say i can be kinda organized about some things, and the total opposite end of the spectrum disorganized on others- its a real struggle for me. so when i bookmark something (and i bookmark EVERYTHING) with then intentions on revisiting. i either forget or cant find the bookmark! LOL
but honestly we all enter a bunch, so i think its silly.

anyway thats it for now. ta ta!

UGH! annoyed!

IS EVERYONE AS SICK OF THESE EMAILS AS ME? IS THERE ANYONE THAT ACTUALLY FALLS FOR THEM?
i say, what everyone everywhere start doing is opening up your own spam email adress at aol, yahoo, gmail, or hotmail and start writing them back- syaing ok- so where do you want me t send them money- and let them actually think we are going to send it to them, but act like we dont understand like we need clarification, then ask for their phone numbers, and- prank call the hell outta them, then tell them your about to get thrown out of your house, can they please send you 200$
or maybe even just 20? anything would help!
thats what i say the solution to THIS (as noted in the fwd below) problem is. i get these emails with some real frequency as i enter sweepstakes and request samples- the ones that never show are duh SPAMMERS_ however they do go about getting their email adresses, i say lets F**K w them the way we do telemarketers! LMAO!!!!

FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL- which i ironically (its true) was JUST researching 4 or 5 days before bc i bought my 1st jar of coconut oil and its "unrefined" and idk what the diff is bc there were 2 jars they both appeared to have same ingredients but one jar of coconut oil was for hair and skin (one i got which actually stinks) and the one that was for cooking and consumption .so i was TRYTING (and i never did fig it out either) to fig that out and i came across this website coconut research or some shit- and according to this - this is like the new miracle stuff- supposedly cure everything. so i was shocked and amazed to say the least but today i found this sweepstakes (ironic ain't it) giving away coconut oil and it doesn't appear to have very many entries yet and that is GOOD BC that means your odds are so much better... http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/ also if anyone can answer this for me.. y in the world is it that oil such as olive oil- or coconuts- i thought only animals produced fat- fruit and vegetables aren't supposed to be fatty- wheres this oil in them. if you break open a coconut is oil floating on top on the inside? no, BC people drink them. if there was il in olives, then wouldn't it get hard on top of olive jar in fridge (float on top of vinegar??) oh lemme guess its been extracted. the olives in a jar claim to have absolutely no nutritional content besides sodium. basically. so how is it that olive oil is so good for you? and how do they go about extracting these oils we use? that's an amazing thought Ive never considered till the other day. canola oil is supposedly form corn but it corn had oil in it it would cook out on the sun- as would olives just fry outside while growing right? idk maybe i should watch a little more discovery channel!!!

Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway

"I've had the opportunity to try Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil and all I can say is WOW. I really love it's versatility. It has a very slight coconut scent and taste, but you don't really taste the coconut. I have used it in cooking, as a treatment on my hair and as a bath and body oil. It has become my bath oil of choice. A little goes a long way, I use 1/2 teaspoon of oil in my bath. It soaks into my skin fairly quickly and I love how my skin feels.

The French Toast made with the coconut oil turned out great as did the popcorn. We have used it for other cooking needs with success. One of the few things I don't care to use it for is salad dressings... the flavor of the dressing was very good, but I don't want to take the time to bring the dressing to room temperature before use. Coconut oil is a solid below about 76 degrees.

yay!

I was having problems with my online voicemail service. But I figured it out. YAYAYAYAYYAY!
See, the problem was, for some reason RealPlayer, QuickTime and MediaPlayer just quit working and wouldn't play my k7@k7.net messages. If you ever have this problem, go to Accessories, then entertainment, and find your Sound Recorder. Then open and play the file from there. YAY ME! :D I have been building up messages for weeks, I had no Idea who they are from. But I got to listen to them all this AM! Anyway, whatever I'm just excited!

welcome me im new!

i still have 2 get a feel for this thing. I'm so used to myspace's blog. which i actually do love.but since a lot of ppl i know don't want or have a myspace - and this is a great way to connect with other ppl., i fig i would give it a try. ill try to be adult and not so PERVbyrded- but that is what makes me me.:Di need to fig out how to configure and gather me up some reader. which i have a lot of stuff (see? I'm doing good already i wanted to say *H*t ... HA! ) on my plate in the coming weeks. what with spring cleaning, or summer or fall or whatever season we are currently in, and organizing to get ready for my move at the end of the year. Ive got my gay friend who is currently going thru hard times, living on my couch, my sister is coming this wknd. i haven't even brushed my hair today, most days in fact. but why would i if I'm not going anywhere. I guess i should BC i just had an unexpected visitor drop in, and he saw me looking all shabby. Which was, rather embarrassing. Bug man, had to spray for spiders. God knows the spiders around here are atrocious. But what was i saying? i ramble a lot as you'll notice, which is why blogging is perfect for me. I Mostly use my myspace blog to share things and links and sites and songs and lyrics and videos that are meaningful to me that i don't want to clutter my myspace up with. cant figure out if facebook has a blog, or how to use it. or why you can only share things that are a few sentences. rather annoying. but anyway basically hope this isn't one of those unfinished and abandoned things that i am so notorious for.hopefully ill rem to come back here and customize, if you can do that- which I'm pretty DARN (see how good i m doing?) sure i can do, but might have to get Canonda to come over and school the whiz on.I'm so cool right?OK ~xo~BYRD
