REAL SCIENCE - HELP MOMS GET THROUGH THE DAY WITH A SMILE

I am proud to introduce to you a replacement for all those costly and unhealthy, sugar laden energy drinks you all can't seem to shake the habit of!  It's called Gung-Ho!

GungHo has been vetted by the smartest brain scientists and medical professionals in the world:
"PROVEN focus & concentration...builds neurotransmitters...unlike energy shots or drinks..."
  - Dr Perry Renshaw, MD, PhD, Director @ The Brain Institute @ The University of Utah

I was sooo impressed with the ingredients list!

Read on to find out some useful info the brand wants me to share, then at the bottom my opinion of this neat little travel friendly energy shot!
2013 is the Year of the Brain! Based on exciting new research, GungHo is an all-natural brain supplement shown to improve focus and concentration now as well as improve memory recall and brain health over time.

GungHo is balanced across all major neurotransmitter categories (not just the sympathetic nervous system like energy drinks). Increases beta-endorphines (science calls them "happy hormones"). Mild appetitie suppressant with no sugar, carbonation or calories.

GungHo has been covered in  AllThingsD, the WSJ, Time Magazine, Wired etc. Read over 700 customer reviews or study the science if you want more information.

Get lean & improve endurance

GungHo can offer energy once your muscles are tired, for those last reps or sprints (increased choline supports the re-synthesis of muscle). You'll typically stay “in the zone” longer, just like sensei says you should.
GungHo can also increase the level of neurotransmitters to increase your ability to metabolize fat and even help to suppress your appetite. Hunh? It'll help you lose weight, grasshopper.
No sugar. No carbonation. 4 calories. All killer, no filler.

MOMS ARE BLIND TO THIS...AND OUR CHILDREN ARE IN TROUBLE

There's a dangerous epidemic:  Black-market "focus/study-drug" addiction (class-A addictive like Cocaine)...or energy drink-overload by overwhelmed students and moms who need a focus/productivity/energy boost. 1 in 4 college students take illegal ADHD (focus) drugs to finish papers/ace tests. Moms just struggle to get through the day.

HERE'S WHY WOMEN HATE ENERGY DRINKS...BUT LOVE GUNGHOR
Women, especially Moms, are the busiest people in the world; typically more tired and worn-out than men. So why are 85% of the consumers of energy supplements male? Female physiology experts have explained that Caffeine & B Vitamin overload is a nightmare physiologically for women.

MY REVIEW:

I am a coffee addict! Can't live without it. I have to have my caffeine. But the more coffee I drink, the more tolerance I seem to get to it's effects. Drinking more used to help, but now I worry about all those unnecessary calories and sugar! Don't drink your calories! Plus, it doesn't seem like coffee is even doing anything anymore. Time to move onto a new product! But taking care of two young kids and when you add the fact that I am an insomniac can having tiring results that drag me down throughout the day! Needless to say I was slightly skeptical. I being I myself tried GungHo and didn't know what to expect! I found it to be surprisingly tasty and gave me an excess boost of energy, a pick me up that lasted from when the mail ran, (because of course I drank it right away!) until I went to bed. It did not have any ill side effects and also didn't kep me up!  If you look on the product's website you'll find that they have a great free sample* offer. So try it now risk free! The free trial-pack to my readers with this link: www.gogungho.com/free. You just pay $2.99 shipping and get a free 3-pack. Tell them Locomotion of Expressions sent you! I love that if your a social bee (like Me!) you can earn 15$ towards the purchase of your Gung-Ho order with their sharing program, which is super easy! If you have tried it, comment below what you thought of it! Daregal Gourmet #herbs make everything better! Easy & delicious #win sampler frm @1caseycolette #giveaway #recipe 10/15

_I received a sampler of Daregal Gourmet fresh frozen herbs to review as a part of a Blog Friendly PR campaign. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received._

I recently received the opportunity to review 4 boxes of fresh frozen herbs in the mail. I love to cook, and am usually out of spices, other than salt and pepper. I can't seem to keep garlic. And I use a lot of basil, as it is my favorite herb to cook with. It goes great in just about any dinner meal. I also love love LOVE cilantro, but rarely buy it because I can only ever find it fresh. I am not big on freezing herbs in ice cube trays, although I know you can, it seems like a waste of time and space in my freezer. I buy fresh herbs with the intent to cook with them, only later to find them forgotten about and withered up in the produce drawer of my fridge. I mean well- don't judge me.  I suppose I could grow them, but I don't really have a green thumb. I do have a basil plant, but only because it is hard to kill, and comes back every year! But have you ever heard of FRESH frozen herbs? Simple to use yet the flavor is astounding. AND you never have to see them spoil!! Convinced that Daregal Gourmet will change your views about herbs.
Cilantro

I think if what I just said above applies to you too, then these herbs are perfect for you. Daregal Gourmet Amazon store is where I would recommend buying them, but then again I really love Amazon and buy a lot of stuff from there, it is only natural I would recommend it. I love that the herbs are so easy to open and buy and use. The box has a BUNCH of herbs in it, but still doesn't take up a lot of space in my freezer.. which is really tiny and forever tight on space anyway!

Daregal Gourmet herbs are available on Amazon.com and in the Northeast region at Stop n Shop, Giant Landover, & Shaws!
Here's several reasons why I just know you will also love these herbs as much as I do.

@momsMeet members @GETunreal! Why you should use UNReal Candy this #halloween!! #ad #halloweenCandy!

Whoever heard of Fair Trade candy? I guess we all have- or have heard of "diet" candy, and by that I mean lower sugar. But not only are they expensive and hard-to-find in store(unless online) AND most lower sugar candies have artificial sugars in them, which everyone knows (or should!) are harmful their-self.

Unreal Candy is all these things, including being non-GMO and having no corn syrup, which is the biggest turn-on to me. I despise the corn syrup movement. I eat it in food, so it's sort-of hypocritical of me, but I try not to. Being all honest-- it's hard to avoid it, no?  It's in all our candy, and I'm not the type of mom to deprive my kids.

You can't control all of the other houses handing out candy this Halloween, but it starts with you. Let the movement start in your own home. Be sure to tell your friends and moms you know about UNREAL candy. The more that know: the better we all are. I wish more candy brands would take up the initiative to make their candy UNJUNKED as well.

The bags we got are the bulk bags, and I found them at my local Target, but it does come in individual bags too, and I have seen it at CVS. The picture at the bottom of this post shows all the store logos you might find it at. So if you have a sweet tooth like me, this would be good to have on hand, so go to one of your local stores and go look!

As seen on Fooduciary - Chemical Calories: When Lettuce is More Fattening than a Burger

By Brad from Fooduciary.com.
Environmental chemicals known as obesogens are found in many places, including pesticides used on conventional produce. They program our bodies to store fat and develop disease, and do so to such an extent that in theory a head of conventional romaine could actually cause more weight gain than a grass fed burger.

"Obesogens belong in the class of chemicals known as endocrine disruptors. This class of toxins simulates the effects of natural hormones and disrupts normal hormonal responses. In terms of weight gain, "chemical calories" may actually be more significant than the caloric value of those calories.

How do obesogens exert so much influence? One method is by disrupting the normal release of leptin, the hormone that tells the brain you're full. In addition, obesogens encourage the body to store fat by reprogramming cells to become fat cells, and they also contribute to insulin resistance. What’s more, they're inflammatory substances, producing oxidative stress, damage the body's energy source, mitochondria, which then has a cascade of negative after effects.
Certainly some people are more sensitive to these toxins than others, though some are highly susceptible. Obesogens can have significant effects on children in utero, causing the fetus to produce more fat cells and increasing the likelihood of childhood obesity.

90 day challenge! I am being sponsored for a product trial for weight loss, to detox and cleanse!

90 day challenge! I am being sponsored for a product trial for weight loss, to detox and cleanse!
I have picked the
30 Night Diet because after looking at Creative Bioscience products, I realize I have tried Raspberry Ketones, Green Coffee Bean, and actually HGC too, but have never tried a product that you take at night. I am actively trying to cut back on caffeine products so I feel that this product of theirs would be the best fit for me. I love that they also carry an African Mango product, but since it is actually IN the product I chose (along with the Raspberry Ketones and other ingredients), it's a win-win for me.
I can't wait to see the results and share them with you.

Lose Weight Even While You're Asleep

New Night Diet™ 10, 20 and 30 are designed to help you lose 1 lb a day without using stimulants. If you get the diet jitters from other slimming supplements, try this stimulant-free formula to "diet right, day or night"--even while your body is resting. Do you need to lose a little, or a lot? Customize your Night Diet™ program to fit your lifestyle and weight loss goals, and get started today or tonight!
Tell me more about 5-HTP

Chances are you've heard about 5-HTP in the media. 5-hydroxytryptophan, or 5-HTP, is a powerful fat fighter found naturally in the seeds of the plant Griffonia Simplicifolia. It is clinically shown to help block fat formation. 5-HTP also helps balance serotonin levels in your brain to improve your mood by countering insomnia and depression. It can even lessen nerve pain in conditions like fibromyalgia.

A low-calorie diet often makes a person crave carbohydrates, and 5-HTP may help to keep serotonin levels from dropping and causing you to feel like going on a binge. It is clinically shown to help block glucose release into the bloodstream, and it slows fat and sugar absorption so they pass right through your system. Still have questions? We're here when you need to talk. What do you have to lose, besides weight?

Here's a little piece of good news, for you, my readers:
Creative Bioscience is actively looking for other bloggers, so if you are interested in taking a 90 day challenge yourself, then feel free to signup too.

I saw 2 other products of interest to me, that was the Rapid Colon Cleanse & the Energy & Appetite control pills. In the end I think the 30 night diet is the best fit for me.

More great news, after my 90 day challenge, one reader will be awarded with their own 90 day supply of product of their choice, via a giveaway- here on Locomotion of Expressions.

#myBlogSpark Italian Days – Taste the Tradition event at Publix - February 11th through March 1st

Enter to win a 25$ Gift Card to Publix below. Ends 3/15.

Publix is my favorite grocery store!!! Publix has a clean store, friendly employees, great sales, everyday prices and lots of BOGO offers. I love that their deli is fantastic, fresh and fast. They have the biggest organic section of any store I have ever seen that is not a store specializing in organics. They even carry grass fed beef, which I only eat, and no other store local to me has. Impressive.

I love Publix because they always have fresh (free) coffee, the bathrooms are always immaculately cleaned. Gosh there are so many reasons. My daughter loves them because she can go to the bakery and get a "free cookie". They have brands no one else has, and they even have hard to find varieties that no other stores have. For instance they have some varieties of Campells soup I have never seen at other stores.

It's easy to get in and out too. If you have a local Publix and don't shop there, your missing out. They can take a boring stressful shopping episode and make it fun! They obviously can't stop your babies from crying, but they take away all of the other stresses that accompany shopping, that is for sure. They have great coupon policies too. I have never been greeted with anything less than fabulous at our local store here in Kingsland. I will choose our store over all the grocery stores in this area, which include a Winn-Dixie, WalMart, Commissary, Harveys...

Italian food is always a huge crowd pleaser. Whether you’re feeding your hungry family or hosting a household of friends, everybody loves the taste of al dente pasta, a rich sauce or a delicious pizza.

At the Italian Days – Taste the Tradition event at Publix® from February 11th through March 1st, you can get great prices and coupon savings* on some of your favorite General Mills brands like Green Giant and Progresso. Plus, get great savings on many ingredients for great Italian recipes like Alfredo pizza and stuffed chicken manicotti.
And that’s not all! During the event shoppers will be able to enter for a chance to be 1 of the 500 shoppers that will win a $100 Publix® gift card! To enter for a chance to win and to download great coupon savings and delicious recipes, look in-store or visit www.clickcallmail.com.**

I used the 25$ gift card they sent me to make 2 dishes!!!
The Italian dish was Italian Sausage Spaghetti. (Double Italian!)
Here's how I make it:
I prefer Angel hair pasta
any Italian sausage will do, but I especially love the polka kielbasa pre-cooked kind.
I use 2 jars of pasta sauce
I cut the sausage in slices and/or dices of varying sizes, some big and some small. I stir it into my sauce on medium, I will add onion, mushroom, bell pepper, and seasonings  usually garlic and parsley or basil. Boil the noodles to desired firmness/softness.
Drain, I like to stir a spoonful of olive oil into the drained noodles before mixing the sauce and noodles together in a big bowl.

 Prep time: 10 min.
Cooking time 20 min.
Total time from start to table: 30 min.

The second recipe I made was  8 ingredient/can chicken taco soup.

I use:
2 cans of diced tomatoes.
3 Chicken legs, boiled, de-boned and pulled. The original recipe I saw called for canned chicken, which I think has a funny texture.
I used 1/2 a jar of salsa, instead of the recommended green enchilada sauce.
1 can Cream of Chicken soup.
1 can of Black beans
1 can of Pinto beans
1 can of whole kernel corn
1 can of chicken broth.
1 package of Taco seasoning.

Instructions? Well mix it all together! Easy peezy lemon squeezy. We used fritos and tostitos scoops to dip and crumble into our soup. It made a huge pot, and we are actually eating it's leftovers tonight!~

Prep Time 5-10 min.
Cook time 20 min.
Total time from start to table 30 min.

You can enter to win a 25$ gift card here on this blog by placing ONE comment (with your email address please) stating desire to win!
The other entries include (in any order)
This giveaway will end on March 15th at NOON Eastern. The winner will receive the exact prize a I received, a 25$ Publix gift card, that you can use to buy anything in the Publix store. Fabulous, no?

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil #giveaway

Win 1 quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!
Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?

Tropical TraditionsIf you ever get on Pinterest, you have to check out the Tropical Traditions Pinterest page! I like this board best, the Coconut DIY Board. I was one of the reluctant ones when Pnterest first started, but now I'm all aboard  If you want to follow me on Pinterest, I follow everybody back, and my Pinterest is the same as my Twitter, Facebook, Blog and LinkedIn profile urls. You will find me on just about any site as "1caseycolette" (there can only be one!)  Actually, there isn't. There is also a woman by the name of Colette Casey on Facebook I found.. freaky. I wonder if she's my mirror image opposite doppelganger.

Moving on to other more important things, such as:
Why do you want to win this coconut oil??

Well, for numerous reasons. This coconut oil is minimally processed and GOLD LABEL. It is very high quality, and tastes quite good in most any recipes. I like to add it into my smoothies. I buy a bag of frozen fruit (whatever your preference, but I most like mango, strawberry peach blend.) I will add a few spoonfuls of yogurt, a little juice/water/milk, again- your preference, your palette.  And of course, a spoon (or two) of this Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil.

I love Tropical Tradition's fast delivery & the many ongoing sales of their products which gives the consumers a chance to try them & save more. I highly recommend Tropical Tradition's products, especially their coconut oil & the company itself as a whole. I will be a fan for life and looking forward to try the rest of its healthy products!

This isn't a food/recipe blog, and I don't really follow directions anyway.. I'm a rule breaker. It's more of a judge by your eye and belly type thing. I kinda tend to just throw all the stuff together and it's always really tasty. I can adjust it for flavor after the first initial trial. You'd think the food/dish would turn out questionable, but not to brag, but I must  have a flair for cooking, since it's always REALLY good. Then again, I am not extremely picky anyway. I just likes me some food! I have found that stirring in a spoon of Matcha green tea powder also makes the fruit and coconut oil smoothie taste even better. Matcha tea is good for you, same as coconuts are!

I also do like to stir in coconut oil or use it in place of vegetable canola/olive oil in the kitchen  but keep in mind, it does add a coconut flavor to the dish. It has a strong taste, but if you like coconuts as much as I do, it shouldn't bother you.
I keep meaning to try it with coconut shrimp. Man, oh man- shrimp and coconuts together? I'll be in heaven. Extra COCONUTTY shrimp. YUM!~

If you aren't like me, and you follow recipes and directions to a T, you are probably sorely disappointed by my "recipe" above. Again, sorry- not sorry!
BUT you can find a whole BUNCH of coconut oil recipes here: Freecoconutrecipes.com & here

How to Use Coconut oil: There are hundreds of uses for coconut oil!

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the  advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

I was excited to see this on the sidebar of their homepage:
Pure Coconut Oil

Have you ever heard of WHOLLY GUAC?

I am an avid guacamole eater, so it's no surprise at all that after trying Wholly Guac, my all-natural food loving self was instantly hooked on this delicious and reassuringly healthy guilt-free treat!
Wholly Guac sends me samples of their Guacamole (on ice, I love that!) and even their Salsa to sample occasionally.
The reason I even mention the ice, is it's been a huge issue having a food review blog, and getting only free product coupons, most of the time for foods and brands I can't find in stores in my area, so it's refreshing to have a company send the actual product instead. I know-- just one of those things.

If you don't count the fact that some of the stuff they send me is incredibly spicy- and I do not like spicy foods AT ALL., then I have liked everything they have sent!! I even attempt to eat the spicy guac's and salsa, but it just doesn't work out between us!

The best part about Wholly Guac is that not only do they sell multiple serving boxes, but they have single serving too,  already mapped out and pre-portioned to 100 calories, keeping watching your new years resolution a little bit easier! and
I LOVED the HOME-STYLE version of they guacamole, but I still love classic best! Boy was I excited to see a Ranch version of their guacamole now being produced! They must've read my mind.

You should try their salsa, and guacamole if you see them in the stores you usually shop in. I know they sell them at my local Publix, so check yours!  If all else fails, ask the manager to carry it for you!

This guacamole is perfect for chips as a dip, Mexican dishes, and even shrimp! You've just GOT t0 try the Classic, Home-style & especially THE RANCH version!  YUMMMY!~

Share my love of Wholly Guacamole!

Thanks for reading Locomotion of Expressions!~

Keep up with myself, and the brand on Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest!
