What I thought about Makit!

Some of the original templates, we drew so many, we had a hard time choosing which plates to order... in the end, I used some of my own money in addition to the three free plates for the blog review, so we could get more of the plates we drew.

But honestly, the best part was the not the quality, which was ON POINT *& impressive BUT instead was speed. see, I mailed off my form with the templates we colored on a Friday and the following THURSDAY not even one full week later I had the plates we ordered in hand. We were gifted 3 plates for this and the last review, but I did pay for extra plates with our own money. 30$ to be exact for the 6 plates. Not too bad, putting them at 5$ a piece for this blog review. In that case, I hate it when blog reviews cost me my own money .. BUT you know I am telling the absolute truth about the plates. I love them, and I am sure they will be treasured in the years to come. They are supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I'll just hand wash them for now... so far so good. I give this company 2 thumbs up!!!  Very unique gift that would be perfect for an adoring grandparent. I absolutely LOVED that this site PowerMyLearning is free!!

Not only do a lot of sites have high membership dues, or "free trials" which you soon forget you even subscribed for.... That is, until you get the non-refundable 19.99 charge on your debit card bill.. Yeaaahh- y'all know what I am talking about, don't you? 

As I was saying, not only is it 100% free, and free is a GOOD thing--  but in addition: lot of sites worry me, because of the Ads on sidebars which could have viruses and/or tracking cookies, not to mention things inappropriate for children, at times. Even the best of sites like Disney and Nick have these. 

Bottom line: You don't know a sites safety without sitting hours researching  Even if you do, you'd have to sit on top of an eight year old the entire time they were on the computer to make sure they don't stray that mouse clicker to questionable sites. Now, this may sound bad- but let us have a moment of honesty here: a lot of the times I let my daughter on the computer to get her out of my hair and get stuff done.. and neither of those feats can be accomplished if I have to monitor her every click on the computer.

I gave myself a small task of finding four items for around 30$ that my kids might love, and I have the opportunity to review one at a later date, being purchased from a gift card I made posting this article. How cool, right?

Here is what I found!!!

At $29.99 this GREEN Gummy Bear lamp is 7' in tall and 3' in wide. It looks and feels just like a REAL gummy bear, but please dont eat it! It's bright LED light has a one hour only timed switch, and an "infinity" switch, It uses 2 AA batteries. My kids freaked out when I showed it to them.

We have always loved the brand Cloud B and  even more so love their one of a kind Twilight Ladybug, who is a very cute toy that emits soft green stars onto your child's ceiling at night, helping lull them to sleep. The toy indicated that it is for toddlers, but both of my children would adore this sweet slumbering bug in a rug for many more years to come. I quite like her too! She is only $33.99.

The decals have stood up to moisture in the bathroom, and always shine very bright. While its hard to see them during the day- it's that much cooler at night.
