What we have to say!
You know, I know this movie, but I didn't know this movie. It is so old, literally out 13 years before I was born, so a movie I'm sure my mother would remember from her childhood. Not I from mine. I never sat down and watched it as a child, least that I remember, so not only was Giana experiencing it for the first time, but it was like I was as well. The BluRay disc is "metallic""holographic" slightly, and very iridescent, and extremely eye-catching. One thing I did notice of all these 5 BluRays sent is the auto-play feature no longer exists on the BluRays, which just being totally real with you, kinda sucks. :)
Disney- if your reading this, you put it back, you hear me?
I did like this movie. More than I thought I would. Eva Gabor's voice is really more of a purr anyway, so it's only natural she would voice the sweet & sultry- uppity "Aristocrat of an Aristocat" anyway!
I love the feisty little baby kitties, especially Marie. Of course she would be my favorite!
This movie is slamming it on the music/score to be so old, I gotta say! Even though this movie is as old as it is, it still seems like a fresh new one. You can't tell it is old at all.
If you compare the original on one screen and play this movie on an adjoining screen, I am quite certain you would be able to tell a HUGE difference.
But after the movie Giana and I tried to have a discussion about what an Aristocrat is, and that was somewhat frustrating for me because I have no patience, and she didn't seem to understand what I was saying. So we Googled it- well Google usually never fails me, but it let me down. I couldn't think of a way to explain it to her, besides a High Class, sometimes snooty, rich person. That seemed to be the best layman's terms, Google confused her further upon the Wikipedia page citing about Aristocracy .. and she wanted to know what that meant too... LOL!
I guess all that is sort-of irrelevant to the movie review, but relevant to my life, and I just want to document that- so don't mind me. I'm talking to myself again. That's what happens when I get very lonely when he's deployed like he is...
*Sighs*at least I have these Disney BluRays to help keep me company and cheer me up!
Oh and of note-- Giana loved the MARIE MUSIC VIDEO in the Special Features, and overall loved the Special Features in ins entirety and spent more time playing with them than she did watching the actual movie!
Of the 5 sent, I definitely LOVED the Pocahontas and Rescuers the most
(original and sequel combo 3 disc packs!) those are some really awesome movies, read the reviews I wrote for them by clicking the links!
