#thisREALLYhappened?! Dear Alyssa + a glance at the other side of the fence #wastingMYtime & What it's like to be a blogger...

Okie dokie, so where do I start????

I know most people or friends of mine even, that know I am a blogger think this is so easy and it's just given to me, I sit down and write a few words, and maybe PR people think that too.
That's just not the case.
There is so much more to it than that.

As your blog and follower numbers grow, so do the amount of pitches you recieve. I quit blogging for a few years bc I just simply could NOT keep up with the kids, the house, a full time blog, and the UPS USPS & FedEx all bringing two or three boxes A DAY.
A blog is like a snowball rolling downhill.. it gets bigger & bigger. I'm not sure how these GIANT blogs do it, mad respect.
For real.

Meanwhile in Alabama: A cause close to my heart.

First things first.
We all make mistakes and most of us have been in trouble with the law at some point in our lives for something. No one is perfect.
My beautiful fiance was locked up in August due to a traffic ticket he got years ago, and never paid. Granted he should have taken care of it. But it is really worth six months of his life because he didn't have the grand to take care of the fines?

Blount County Alabama This year. He was locked up and given 180 days when our son was six months old. He has missed him learning to crawl. Missed his first babbles, will miss his first Halloween, and probable Christmas too and quite possibly learning to walk, since Rowan is cruising along quite bravely and nicely now.
It's sad but there not much I can do, short of getting a lawyer, which I don't have the money myself for, since I am raising the baby; now- without help.
Plus + seems to me a risky gamble to put out 300-600+ for a lawyer for a CHANCE to get him out of jail. Seems the money would be better put on his fines. But so I've heard, even if the fine is paid in full, they have no plans to release him until FEB/MARCH NEXT YEAR.
Meanwhile his ex is writing him letters in jail, and if she keeps mentioning me & my child in them I'll be right there in jail alongside him...

I'm just saying.
Anyway- so when I saw this DOC short, it was a cause close to my heart that I thought I'd share.
Really pisses me off how money can buy you everything. I got even more mad this weekend when 20/20 aired their "Affluenza" defense special about a teen who killed 4 and injured 14 driving drunk and got a light slap on the wrist got out of all jail time and went to a ritzy "rehab" instead, simply because his parents are (billionaires?) or millionaires.

#iLoveScience : Grains of sand on a beach #perspective #nothingreallymatters

Just kidding, but makes you realize just how tiny we are, and how short our lives are in comparison.

Putting things in perspective. We are tiny, really tiny

Tell the Devil I sad hey when you get back to where you're from....

We touch, I feel a rush, we clutch, it isn't much
But it's enough to make me wonder what's in store for us
It's lust, it's torturous, you must be a sorceress
'Cause you just did the impossible, gained my trust

Don't play games, it'd be dangerous if you fuck me over
'Cause if I get burnt, I'ma show ya what it's like to hurt
'Cause I've been treated like dirt befo' ya
And love is evol, spell it backwards, I'll show ya

Nobody knows me, I'm cold, walk down this road all alone
It's no one's fault but my own, it's the path I've chosen to go
Frozen as snow, I show no emotion whatsoever, so
Don't ask me why I have no love for these mo'fuckin' ho's

Blood suckin' succubuses, what the fuck is up with this?
I've tried in this department, but I ain't had no luck with this
It sucks, but it's exactly what I thought it would be
Like tryin' to start over

I've got a hole in my heart for some kind of emotional roller coaster
Somethin' I won't go on, so you toy with my emotions, so it's over
It's like an explosion every time I hold ya, I wasn't jokin' when I told ya
You take my breath away, you're a supernova

I'll do whatever it takes, when I'm with you I get the shakes
My body aches when I ain't, with you I have zero strength
There's no limit on how far I would go, no boundaries, no lengths
Why do we say that until we get that person that we thinks
Gonna be that one and then once we get 'em, it's never the same?

You want 'em when they don't want you
Soon as they do, feelings change
It's not a contest and I ain't on no conquest for no mate
I wasn't lookin' when I stumbled onto you, musta been fate

But so much is at stake, what the fuck does it take?
Let's cut to the chase
'Fore the door shuts in your face, promise me if I cave in and break
And leave myself open that I won't be makin' a mistake

So after some months, it's no longer me that you want
But I love you so much, it hurts, never mistreated you once
I'll pour my heart out to you, let down my guard, swear to God
I'll blow my brains in your lap, lay here and die in your arms

Drop to my knees and I'm pleadin', I'm tryin' to stop you from leavin'
You won't even listen so fuck it, I'm tryin' to stop you from breathin'
I put both hands on your throat, I sit on top of you, squeezin'
Til' I snap your neck like a Popsicle stick

Ain't a possible reason I can think of
To let you walk up out this house and let you live
Tears stream down both of my cheeks, then I let you go and just give
And before I put that gun to my temple, I told you this

And I would've did anything for you to show you how much I adored you
But it's over now, it's too late to save our love
Just promise me you'll think of me
Every time you look up in the sky and see a star 'cuz I'm a

I'm a space bound rocket ship and your heart's the moon
And I'm aimin' right at you, right at you
250,000 miles on a clear night in June
And I'm so lost without you, without you, without you

The box they sent the squeezers in, legit y'all it looked like a real crate. Even my daughter though it was real when she walked in from school and saw it on the table. marketing at it's best. Makes me proud. A+ presentation Del Monte PR!  Moving on...

I am sad to say they wanted me to make a day by day thing of it, and my kids had the squeezers gone by day 2. Hungry Hungry Hippos. I wish they would have sent me more of them. Especially since I have 2 kids, and friends/neighbors kids over sometimes.  I could've got 5 packs of fruit squeezers at Walmart for a few bucks - I am just used to being compensated for my blog efforts better. But at least the presentation was good and the kids like it. I am just butt-hurt. It more work than they realize.

These squeezy packs of goodness remind me of the applesauce that comes in a drinkable pouch
with spot. But these are better since it is more than just applesauce, but a tasty way to ensure that your children are getting the right amount of vitamins and nutrients  Sneaking veggies in can be hard, you know this! Especially since it is the month of October, and all these Halloween Recipes are floating around on Pinterest. All the candy and treats associated with October require some handy packets of TLC in fruit AND veggie form! These are up to the task!!

Del Monte cans more than 1/3 of all canned fruits and more than 1/4 of all canned vegetables in the United States. AND- In 1973 Del Monte was the first major food processor in the U.S. to include nutrition labels on its products.

#BGCMiami 3 episodes left + reunion #spoilers #bgc11 #badGIRLSclub PLUS ranking of my top fave bad girls in BG History!

Source : Wikipedia

Whats left in store for Season 11 (Miami)
10"'Nae, 'Nae Go Away"[39]October 22, 2013TBA
Shanae continues to rub everyone the wrong way, while new girl Mercedies brings a breath of fresh air into the house.
11"Knock Your Socks Off"[40]October 29, 2013TBA
The ladies decide to take action against Shanae when her bad attitude pushes them to the breaking point.
12"Cowgirl. Crapshoot."[41]November 5, 2013TBA
Andrea loses control when she fears she is the next target, while the other girls throw the wildest pool party in Bad Girls Club history.
I feel sorry for this girl Mercedies and DEF for Shanae. I guess it's Shanaes karma for not forgiving Janelle and jumping on the I-Hate-Janelle bandwagon.

And don't get me started about how  I can't wait til the reunion pops off.

I do or have noticed 2 things about BGC fans and shows that I find amusing.

Number one is:

The fans:  Of course being a blogger- I am super active in social media. One thing that get's on my nerves about some of the BGC and Oxygen fans, is unlike me, a lot of the girls that watch ARE self-proclaimed bad girls themselves And most of them surely are!! However, everyone LOVES to talk trash about the show that they are STILL WATCHING in episode 9. Within minutes of posting on Facebook, the BGC Fan Page will have hundreds, and by the next day, thousands of comments, most of which trash the girls. I cant speak, I basically just did the same. But you don't see me spouting off about how "this season is the worst season!!" I see that every episode in hashtags on twitter, and on FaceBook.. and honestly it gets old. OBV you like it enough to comment that you hate it. If you hate it SO much, why are you even STILL watching with 2 episodes left?

At least I admit I love this trashy reality TV show. In fact- I love the girls. There is usually one I cannot stand though. Last season; Valentina. A lot of the time on Social Media, they say the girls are ugly, which most of them maybe not be supermodel hot, but usually are all very pretty. Even in their own way.  Some downright adorable and sexy... it's just mean because a lot of the fans are females who prolly aren't supermodels themselves.  #justSaying.

Even sometimes a girl you think might be unattractive can grow on you if you keep watching the show, mostly because of her personality. I feel that when you live in a house with cameras 24/7 they're bound to catch bad acting or looking moments. Truth is: almost all of these girls are prettier than most anyone we know. They might not dress right- but who are we to judge? I like their styles and attitudes almost always, and get very annoyed at people trashing their looks saying "they're all ugly" or "worst season ever" So please back up a little. If its so bad, stop commenting then. Period, end of sentence. I hate to see what people say about me. So harsh.
Me; but I'm no "Bad Girl"

Number 2 is--
How do the girls not realize each replacement usually gets worse and they were better off before said "new girl". Like - they kick out Sarah; and they end up with Janelle.. who, wasn't bad, but just rubbed them wrong from the get go. So just like Sarah- who didn't really do anything to them either. Sarah did pick a fight w Gigi though.. but it still doesn't make me "dislike her".

They just take a statement and run with it, never forgiving. Ironically though- the group fights and forgives within itself, usually offending and forgiving for far worse crimes against person(s) than the "new girl" they so hate has ever done.
"Oh we hate her because she's new." No you hate her bc you feel like you have to. Or because someone like T or Jazmone is saying they don't like the person, so you never stop to give them a chance. Sadly, such is the way of life- and we all do it to people we work with our NEIGHBORS, ect, etc.

Whether we realize it or not.

You don't have to be best friends with someone  to work with or coexist peacefully with them. You don't have to torture and beat each other either. But I guess they feel like they have something to prove bc they are "bad girls" so it's a recipe for disaster anyway. 7 self-proclaimed bad girls who all live in a house with no men are bound to bump heads!!!  No?

The best moment of the season. Poor Janelle gets jumped and pushed out, but on the way out she splits and "bounces on it" in the driveway before she literally splits. I lovee that moment because it shows that even though they won physically, they didn't beat her mentally. As lame as they say they thought it was, I thought it was bad ass!

It is so addictive and entertaining. My guilty "trashy" pleasure.

I love this show.
I would terribly miss it if it ever went away. yes there is a LOT of drama, but it is interesting to watch, IMO. If you like The Real World or MTVs "The Challenge" you'll love this show. Trust me!!!

I actually started watching Bad Girls Club I think in Season 5 and watched past episodes when they reran marathons on Oxygen (back when I had more than just Netflix and Hulu + ) anyway..I now have to buy episodes on Amazon at 1.,99 a pop. Phhoooey! Almost worth getting back cable, 'cept I "own" them on a cloud. The future has odd terms for stuff. Like I am so silly- I am picturing an actual cloud with a bookshelf that says "Caseys Amazon Episodes" .. LOL.

I never got into the first season too much, so I dk about them too much to make a judgement on them.

Without any further ado   *drumroll please**

Lets get some pics of the Bad Girls I loved most and would love to interview or meet, or see reappear on TV. I miss all of them, see- if I picked a "All Star" cast, these girls would definitely be on it. Some I feel like I personally know. I may not always agree with the things they did or said, but these have been my faves...

Raise a Giant: Stand Up Against Bullying with Green Giant #MyBlogSpark

Bullying is a big thing. I guess I have been naive to it, until it started this year in 3rd grade. Bullying doesn't always mean hands on pushing or shoving, biting, kicking and physical things. Bullying can be words too. A cut from a scratch will heal, and be forgotten about. But bullying leaves a mark on the heart of a young child forever. Words can carry with you, and sting harder than the child, or you; the parent, might think.
I guess there have been little instances peppered here and there. You know: I had one little girl in the same class as my daughter last year fight and bicker with her all the time. I chalked it up to a clash in personalities, because it seemed like a love-hate relationship. Until one day the little girl was telling the other girls she wouldn't be her friend if they talked to her. It made me really angry. I went to school to eat lunch with my daughter the next day because they sat together I asked her why she would say such a thing.. and told her if it didn't stop I would tell her grand mother. Because it was really bothering Gigi.  It got better, it got worse. I never looked at it as bullying, probably because I assumed Gigi wasn't 100% innocent.
Giana (left) ugly... ??? WHERE? Yeah right!!!  That little boy needs his eyes checked.
But this year, the boys are getting older and more brazen and picking on the girls. She came home from school the other day tearful because a little boy in her class has been kicking her, and pinching her, and telling her she's ugly. He even told her she looked like a boy!!  *Gasp!*  SERIOUSLY? How mean!!!  First of all, let me say, there is no way -- no how Gigi looks like a boy. She is gorgeous, she wears dresses, bows and has very long hair. She is VERY girly.  I think I was more offended than she was. I never knew how insulting that could feel, and if it hurt me;I know it REALLY hurt her.
It starts with name calling like that! I called the teacher right away & I let her know about the situation.

#PUBLIX: spend more, save less! #giveaway 10/11 #rafflecopter #spon #myBLOGspark

The information and prize pack have been provided by Publix® and Green Giant™ through MyBlogSpark.

I work with MyBlogSpark reviewing Publix all the time!  In exchange I get gift cards to purchase items at Publix, and share them with you in exchange for that, I post about sales and promotions they might be having.

I usually will pick Publix over any other grocery store & I really do love Publix because the store environment, the prices, the selections, the brands, the varieties of the brands, the produce, the seafood, and the organics. They have a lot of organics throughout the store, as well as a aisle dedicated to organic items.

I usually am preferable to there because of their coupon policies and employees as well. Unfortunately, yesterday I had the worst experience I have ever had at a Publix. The manager, the girl in line behind me, and the coupons, it was all a recipe for disaster.

First : lets get the who, when, where, why and how details off the bat.

Who: The manager, the girl in line behind me, and the cashier.
What AND Where: Publix in Irondale.
When? Yesterday.
How and Why:  Well it's a long story..
But let me take a deep breath and start explaining what happened. I am known for my ability to take a long time to tell a story, to get off kilter and subject and ramble at times and beat around the bush, so please bear with me, pull up a chair - as this could take a minute.

Publix and MyBlog Spark sent me a 25$ Gift Card for use for their Flavor Excursion and Green Giant Veggie Chips event.

I was sent 4 bags of Green Giant Sweet Potato chips (Sea Salt and Bar B Q), and also two bags of the tortilla variety (which I much preferred) in the flavors of Ranch and Cheddar! Yummy!!!
I love that these tasty chips are packed with 17g of WHOLE GRAIN! Yummy too as they are made with real vegetables! I much loved using them to eat the cups of Wholly Guac that the Guac Squad is forever sending me free VIP coupons for. A delicious pair they make, indeed!

Green Giant™ Veggie Snack Chips can be a smarter snack option because
o Green Giant™ Veggie Snack Chips are made with real vegetables/Made with real sweet potatoes
o With 17 grams of whole grain per serving (14g for Sweet Potato Chips, 18g for Ranch) 48 grams of whole grain recommended daily.
o Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips only: 40% less fat than regular potato chips Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips only (6g per 28g serving) have 40 percent less fat than regular potato chips (10g per 28g serving).

The food itself was not the problem. I decided to use the 25$ Gift Card they sent in addition to my own money to get a significant discount on my weekly grocery bill.

#SleepIssues

Poor Sleep Habits and How to Correct Them

Watching TV in bed Don't. TV viewing is not conducive to calming down.
Computer work in bed Don't work on a computer at all for at least an hour before going to bed.
Drinking alcoholic or caffeinated drinks at night Don't drink either for at least 3 hours before going to bed.
Taking medicines late at night Many prescription and nonprescription medicines can delay or disrupt sleep. If you take any on a regular basis, check with your doctor about this.
Big meals late at night Not ideal especially if you are prone to indigestion or heartburn. Allow at least 3 hours between dinner and going to bed.
Smoking at night Don't smoke for at least 3 hours before going to bed. (Better yet: quit!)
Lack of exercise Just do it! Regular exercise promotes healthy sleep.
Exercise late at night A no-no. Allow at least 4 hours between exercise and going to bed. It revs up your metabolism, making falling asleep harder.
Busy or stressful activities late at night Another no-no. Stop working or doing strenuous house work at least 2 hours before going to bed. The best preparation for a good night's rest is unwinding and relaxing.
Varying bedtimes Going to sleep at widely varying bed times -- 10:00 p.m. one night and 1:00 a.m. the next -- disrupts optimal sleep. The best practice is to go to sleep at around the same time every night, even on the weekends
Varying wake-up times Likewise, the best practice is to wake up around the same time every day (with not more than an hour's difference on the weekends).
Spending too much time in bed, tossing and turning Solving insomnia by spending too much time in bed is usually counter-productive; you'll become only more frustrated. Don't stay in bed if you are awake, tossing and turning. Get up and do something else until you are ready to go to sleep.
Late day napping Naps can be wonderful but should not be taken after 3:00 pm. This can disrupt your ability to get to sleep at night.
Poor sleep environment Noisy, too hot, uncomfortable bed, not dark enough, not the right covers or pillow -- all these can prevent a good night's sleep. Solve these problems if you have them.

Highway Robbery by @CharterCom

Welcome home!!!

Charters new customer lineup is crap as far as welcoming goes. I have 1 "discounted year" and... well- it is pretty cheap, as well as some high speed internet.. BUT

Since I recently moved to a new place, have had Charter Cable Internet Service less than 1 week, and received a bill in the mail for 60$. I gasped inward. Please tell me they are not serious. Must be a mistake, right?

Called them - tried to get it pro-rated.. she said it was for "installation fees" when all they had to do was run a daggum cord from outside. Then went on to state that the bill is for the time of service, the 21st, through the 20th of the next month. Oh really? Then why the hell is it due in a week.... BEFORE the billing cycle even ends?

IMHO Charter being a huge big name brand should have more welcoming practices for new customers, such as prorating bills, and not charging"set-up" fees. I know that TDS as well as other smaller companies, offer many promotional aspects for new customers, including discounted months, Free Televisions, or small free laptops.

Not to mention the customer service wasn't friendly.
I will be changing my internet ASAP!!!!

KidSwitch Light Switch Extender

I don't know about you, but my kids are Kidspiration. My children inspire me to never grow up everyday. But they have to grow up. Being little is tough, everyone is bigger than you, they get to go on all the fun rides at the fair, the water slides... ect ect. They can reach the faucet in the bathroom w/o a stool... and the light switches without help. And a lot of that stuff, they have to play the waiting game. But some of these issues, you can help them with. It is the millennium after all, we can find an invention for anything. Which is why I wasn't surprised to find this:

Kidswitch is a neat little invention that makes it easy for your toddler or little one to turn the light on and off.
The best part is: KidSwitch glows in the dark! It's makes it easier and safer for your children to turn their lights on and off. It works for both toggle and decora switches. To attach it to a toggle switch, remove the screws from your lightswitch faceplate, place the KidSwitch, and then screw in the new screws provided. To install a decora switch, all you have to do is stick on an adapter. No screws at all. You can buy the original moon KidSwitch OR KidSwitch’s new adorable My Style toggles with super cute characters online at www.KidSwitchShop.com.

I think Kidswitch is a really neat invention. It takes mere seconds to install and would be easy for a small child to understand. The fact that it glows in the dark makes it easier for the child to make their way to the light-switch in a dark room (or yourself).

Prices? $8.95 for a toggle, and $9.95 for a decora. Use code blog10 to get 10% off at check out! PLUS you get FREE Shipping on all orders of $20 or more! In order to spend 20$ you'd get 3 packs (bedroom, hallway and bathroom) so your child would be confident in their abilities to reach the light switch in all the main rooms your child uses daily. They also offer multi-packs at great prices. You can purchase them at the KidSwitch website. Even better? There is a KidSwitch for any kind of switch! Don't believe me? Check out the website now: Kidswitch  Since 1995.  Providing a Helping Hand to Little Ones and Their Parents!

The creator/inventor of Kidswitch had this to say about his neat affordable product: "Energy saving habits that can be learned at the toddler age that will stick for a lifetime. Being able to turn on and OFF their lights enable this habit. Empowering toddlers is the greatest thing a parent can do and it rewarding for both child and parent" Well said Greg & Wendy O'Sullivan!!!

Greg, actually invented it for their oldest daughter, Taylor.  To learn more about the inspiration for KidSwitch, please read "The KidSwitch Story." on their website.
From 1995 through 2007, they sold over 400,000 switches!

Helping your child reach the moon!~ (and the light-switch!)
