Thanks for reading my review of Candylipz.com. This is the cutest neatest product I have seen in awhile. I am all about all natural products. I have been trying to build my blog back up, because I haven't blogged in a year. So I have been accepting neat reviews that are pitched to me, or come my way. When this one came across my email I immediately thought of the "Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge" which I've heard is basically the same thing except done with a coke bottle? When originally pitched, I accepted without really reading. It said "lip plumper" so I automatically assumed some spicy gloss, usually the contain cayenne pepper or capsaicin- which is also used for arthritis relief. Usually lip plumpers contain these pepper juices because- well they DO make your lips swell. But only when you are using them. Which is about as painful as it sounds.. and results don't last long. 

This product however is not what I expected. When I pulled it out of the gorgeously presented box, I felt like Snow White! I twisted it apart and the bottom came off and I'm looking at it like.. ok this is the bottom part of the container holding the gloss... and kept twisting and pulling at the top of the apple to get to the "gloss" I finally gave up. Luckily it withstood all that twisting and pulling, so that's good!

 Once I read the booklet inside the box I then found that this product does something similar to what I used to do in the bathtub as a child.  See, we always had a rinse cup sitting on the edge of the tub. As a small child I would pick up the cup- place it around my mouth and under my chin, and suck the air out of the cup till it was plied onto my face.  This is the same thing and DOES WORK; albeit temporarily. There are a TON of reviews and informational videos about this and all their other many products online.

There is no gloss at all in the apple. It is designed for you to put your lips into the bottom of the apple and suck the air out. This is how it plumps your lips.

Here's what I thought of the scents sent.. a homophone.. Gigi just learned about those in school... means a word that is spelled different/(or spelled the same too!), sounds the same, and can be more than one thing.. like- Train and Train.

Sorry- but I just had to include that for Gigi, because it's her new favorite thing to point out things that do that (Scent & Sent!~)

Moving on...

From Left to Right: Lemon Thyme, Lime Basil & Ginger White Tea

My favorite scent they SENT was the Lime Basil, it was unique and smelled FAB!

The Ginger White Tea was a good idea in theory but it doesn't smell too different or fragrant than other soap(s) I have used.

The Lemon Thyme is "aight" --if you know what I mean. I gave it to my best friend who lives down the road; Beth (she also has a blog: My Crazy Life.. click her name to go see it!)

SO for now.. the only SCENT they sent that impressed me was curious bright green Lime Basil.

I would definitely buy it.

Moving on to bottle size.. they are probably kept on the smallish side to keep that "cute whilst sitting on kitchen sink" look/feel.. and they totally won with that!

BUT I do wish they came in a bigger size..
The price is comparable with other dish soaps and it did clean my dishes extremely well.

All that being said *drumroll please* I love the idea of it, but think it has a little bit of room for improvement.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Pick it up next time your in the store (if you see it!) and give them a sniff and see if you agree with me!

DIY - Homemade Hair Treatments For Damaged Hair

Look at this article I found On this amazing site Tip Junkie!!! According to Beauty Tips 411, here are three home recipes for hair that are perfect for damaged and dry hair types.  These are frugal and easy ways to make a homemade conditioner.

Homemade Hair Treatments For Damaged Hair

1.  Avocado Deep Conditioner Hair Mask- Using 1 small jar of mayonnaise and 1/2 avocado.  Mix all ingredients, smooth into head being careful to work it to the ends,  Use shower cap or plastic wrap to seal body heat in and leave on for 20 minutes.

2.  Mayonnaise Your Hair - Apply 1/2 cup of mayonnaise to your dry hair, work in really well, cover your head with a plastic wrap,  and let it set for about 15 minutes.

3.  Olive Oil Hair Mask - Combine 2 tablespoon honey and 3 tablespoon olive oil together. Apply thoroughly and then cover with plastic wrap and set for 15 minutes.

These beauty tips and treatments are great on any type of hair and safe enough for those with sensitive scalps as well.

Homemade Shampoo

4.  Baking Soda Hair Cleansing Mud – Mix 1 heaping Tbsp. of Baking Soda and 3-5 drops of essential oils of your choice (lavender, patchouli, rosemary, sweet orange are some of mine:not necessarily all together) with enough water to make a paste.  Mix this in the shower. It took a little getting use too, with there being no suds.

5.  Natural Chemical Free Shampoo – Use these three ingredients and use as a natural DIY shampoo, ¼ cup distilled water  ( deionized water is ok ), ¼ cup liquid castile soap ( I use unscented ), and ½ teaspoon jojoba, grapeseed or other light vegetable oil.

6.  Chamomile Fields Shampoo - Let the tea bags steep in 1 1/2 cups of boiled water for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and with the remaining liquid add the soap flakes. Let stand until the soap softens. Stir in glycerin until mixture is well blended. Pour into a bottle. Keep in a dark, cool place.

Here are several more tips on homemade treatments for damaged hair over on the Hair Care Tips blog.

• Drinking a lot of water, to keep the body hydrated and  lustrous.
• Regular use of olive oil, to help control damaged frizzy and dry locks. This remedy can either be used directly on the head, or quantities of it can be increased in a diet.
• After washing, apply a small amount of silicone serum should be applied to the head, which repairs the damage.
• Jojoba oil should be applied mainly to the ends to make it softer. This home remedy can work wonders with frizzy and dry locks.
• Damaged hair should be deep conditioned thoroughly at least once a week.

At the start of Mirror Mirror, Snow was extremely sheltered, naive, and couldn't do a lot on her own for lack of her exposure to the outside world. However, with the help of Grimm, Wolf, and her other newfound friends, she transforms from a timid, quiet girl into brave and skillful fighter.
