Lets talk about stretch marks!
Mederma® Stretch Marks Therapy!
Mederma is a cream formulated to minimize scars. It contains a botanical mix of ingredients the company calls Cepalin which softens and smooth scars. It needs to be applied two to four times a day for at least eight weeks.
Not only do we have to birth the children, and do most of the care for them, as well as have menses.. etc. Worse- we have to carry the scars from them. They are like battle wounds, no?
Heck, if your like me, you had them before you ever had children. Some women don't even have kids and have them. Yeah, men get them too, but women are proven to get them more and worse.
The good news is- you can do things to get rid of them! And they are not so expensive! The only thing is: you have to use these products religiously to see results. You can't half-ass it! Someone might be thinking they want to try these products, but don't want to fork over 20$ if it doesn't work. Well let me tell you they do work. They have been proven to. But -- you have to use it all the time.
You also have to keep the scars away from the sun. That might be hard for a girl like me who goes to the beach, and doesn't necessarily like looking "pale". Self tanner can minimize appearance of stretch marks without causing further harm from the suns UV rays. The worst thing you can do for a scar is let sunlight damage it further.
But if your leery and have tight pockets, there are 5 winners that will get to try not only the scar therapy but the stretch mark cream as well.
You can find great product coupons for both products right now on their website at http://mederma.com/offers

I am certain you will see an improvement of these problems within the first tubes disappearance. Also good news, these are widely available at MANY stores, so it shouldn't be an issue locating them for purchase.
Mederma® Stretch Marks Therapy has just been named one of Parents magazine’s “Mom Knows Best” 2011 Beauty Awards winners.
Though skin is adaptable it will get to a point where it cant stretch more without showing signs of doing so. Stretch marks often occur when skin stretches faster than it can grow. Many people claim you get them from losing weight, but that is not true. They were just not as visible until the person lost weight. Although, in some cases, losing weight can make them less visible. The dermis (inner layer of skin) gets thinner as it stretches and tears. Small tears mean you see the blood vessels & that's what gives marks their pinkish color. After a period of time, the skin will heal & the marks return to a color close to that of the rest of the skin.
"About 50 to 90% of women will experience having stretch marks in their adolescent years but more often than not, they will likely face this dilemma for the first time during pregnancy and it really is a nuisance. Between 75% and 90% of women develop stretch marks to some degree during pregnancy. The sustained hormonal levels as a result of pregnancy usually means stretch marks may appear during the sixth or seventh month, primarily during the 3rd trimester, as that is when skin tends to be subjected to higher levels of stretching forces."
What can you do about stretch marks?
Be patient. Your reddish-purplish marks will eventually fade in color. The will turn from purple/pink/red to a white scar color. Whether or not the marks disappear has to do with your skin type; the depth of the stretch marks and your determination to treat them. If you want a barometer of how your body will handle stretch marks, think of how your scars fade. Stretch marks are, in fact, tiny scars, formed when the lower layers of skin tear because they don't stretch as fast as upper layers of skin. They actually say Retin-A is a great alternative to force skin to recover, however as a past user of Retin-A- I would highly discourage use of this product. It will be extremely painful and in the end, not worth it. Retin-A literally burns off your skins outer layers. Not pretty ... nor pleasant.
In some people it can take months and years for stretch marks to fade into barely-seen thin lines. In others, stretch marks may be thick and sit like scars on top of the skin, or as grooves in the skin. Typically this cream works best on fresh marks, but will work on older ones. Prepare to be persistent. Most products need to be applied two or three times a day.
High mainteneance but also non-evasive and affordable.
But I have gotten the age where I am at peace with them, and feel attractive anyway. I have heard numerous men say that if approached by a beautiful women on the beach-- there's no way a few stretch marks would turn them off.
