I love Greek Yogurt and it is sooo good for you. Yogurt in general is, but greek yogurt has been found to be even better than most yogurt.
In roughly the same amount of calories, it can pack up to double the protein, while cutting sugar content by half.
Although most people snack on yogurt, don't underestimate its versatility. Both types of yogurt can be used as lower-calorie substitutes for fatty ingredients. Swap out eggs and oil in baked goods for Greek yogurt, or use either yogurt type in place of full-fat sour cream, heavy cream, mayonnaise, or cream cheese in recipes. I find greeg yogurt similar to sour cream, at first I didn't like it. I am glad it has grown on me.
Greek Yogurts are strained extensively to remove much of the liquid whey, lactose, and sugar, giving it its thick consistency—does have an undeniable edge. Compared to regular yogurt, Greek yogurt has: - Nearly twice the protein - Less lactose - Fewer carbs, almost cut in half. - Sodium: Greek yogurt has half the sodium of regular yogurt.


Eating yogurt daily is a great nutritious choice for women, we need the calcium, a healthy low fat, low calorie snack, instead of empty carb-y snack-y foods we usually eat. This satisfies a sweet tooth and provided yogurt goodness enriched with calcium. Eating yogurt daily can also fight yeast infections in most women. Texture - Greek yogurt is much thicker and creamier than regular yogurt because it's strained more. Greek yogurt can also be used in cooking as it does not curdle when heated like regular yogurt.
