What you don't put into your body is just as important as what you do.

That is why it is so important to be careful what chemicals you put onto your skin!

Hylunia is a brand I have come to know recently, and practices what they preach.

What I love about the brand it has very safe ingredients you can trust.

I chose to review the Mango Body Wash $33

It is very lightly scented and thinner than I am used to. But, it lathers up quite nicely. Usually when I think mango, I think colored, heavily scented lotion-y washes we know from local stores. This is much more natural than that. Your skin doesn't feel dried out afterwards. I did like this body wash and amazingly I still have a bunch of it left! I can't wait to try more products from Hylunia. These are great, really! 

Rebalance and refresh. Gentle cleanser purifies and energizes the skin. While the refreshing aroma of Mango energizes and invigorates mind and body.

I love that this site offers free shipping, I got irritated with Disney recently I had a $60 order I didn't qualify for free shipping. That's crazy, so I appreciate the fact this site offers this.

The next item I reviewed was the Healing Rose Water Mist with Calendula

Correction & Prevention

I got to take this item to the beach with me. I loved how it has two lids. I wasn't worried about losing the spray nozzle like I usually am/do when toting products to & fro like I do.

I sprayed this product from head to toe, and wasn't worried about what might be harmful in it. :)

It was much more moisturizing than I assumed it would be. It was more spray lotion than water, and had to be rubbed in. :)

I did like it and it smells light and pleasant. I can smell stronger notes of the rose scent.

The last item I reviewed was the Natural Sunscreen, which I was MOST excited about!!!

Of course, me being the little beach going girl that I am, I appreciated a natural sunscreen. Most people don't know natural sunscreen is a real thing, but it is. You don't have to use all those chemicals to protect your skin. It smells like menthol, which I didn't particularly care for, but it wasn't strong enough to bother me. I also loved how this sunscreen is virtually unpenetrable. In fact, when we got it wet, you could see it kind-of white, still on the skin. i twas actually hard to wash off, but that isn't a bad thing. I think that barrier like waterproof protection was ultimately greatly appreciated.  It's a non-greasy sunscreen that goes perfectly under makeup and work for the entire family. Note for parents – this sunscreen will not run into eyes and sting.

Good for all skin types, including sensitive or acne-prone skin. The non-greasy formula does not cause breakouts.

Contains safe natural, non-toxic ingredients that protect against both UVB rays that cause sunburn and UVA rays that cause deep wrinkles due to collagen-elastin breakdown. The ingredient list is so short and  minimal, and all of them are recognizable to me. I do worry a lot about the time we spend in the sun as a family, so it's good to start using safer sunscreens.

I have heard that any spf over a certain number is just extra chemicals, I was to say 50. So that doesnt make me want to lather my children in 75 spf, does it you?

Some sun is healthy, without the sun we cannot live. So I like going to the beach and getting out in it. You need the sun to be happy. To produce melantonin, and you importantly vitamin D! :) Which we need to make SEROTONIN. Too much sun can be bad, so using sunscreen is important. I'm no Doctor, just a mommy, but the facts are in black & white.

Halloween is really tied for Christmas as our favorite holiday in the year! Even I still dress up and walk with the kids, and have since Giana was an infant. Never too early- never too old. That's our motto!

First it should be noted that the only item(s) gifted to me was the costume itself, not it's accessories. Lucky for me this costume is exclusive to BuyCostumes AND comes with the wig! I love it when you have to have a special wig, and it comes with the costume. After all, that is part of what you need to dress up as her. 

The other things seen in pictures came from the Disney Store at a decent, but slightly high price.  Then I found links to all the things we bought there on BuyCostumes, for a better price than anything I found directly from Disney. 
Brave Costumes & Accessories

Childs Bow & Arrow Costume Accessory Unbeknownst to me, who paid $20 for her bow & arrow, Buy Costumes has pieces that are more than acceptable substitutes. Although the cheaper models are not "Disney" that is really unimportant, anyway. 

Sparkle Ballerina Gold Child Shoes Seen pictured on BuyCostumes model (click the link to see the shoes, as they are not the shoes pictured above, but a very good substitute) for this costume are $24.99, I like that BuyCostumes shoes (not pictured) can be worn past Halloween. That's the kind of shoes I look for when choosing Costume Shoes. 
The shoes above, cant really be worn for anything other than dress up or costume. For instance, she can't wear them to school. However- I do like the ones we have better. 
One reason why is they open up at the back by velcro for easy off & on. One shoe is open in picture (above) as an example. Ours are hard to find in store, and often unavailable online. Took us a while to get them. They were back-ordered for Gianas size, which is actually a 4, and the largest the shoes (above) even come in is a 2/3 but luckily, they fit.  Good news for you is the shoes on BuyCostumes site & model do come in the size we would've needed, and they are all In Stock!

My favorite item as of yet has been the Essie TopCoat clear nail polish. I guess I am really that simple. I loved the brand Essie from Klout giving me free perks, from them... so I knew it was a good brand. This might sound silly, but I prefer the shape, or more really- the height of their bottles. I have a nail polish shelf, and the tall bottles pose problems. These are short, and fit underneath quite nicely. Also, not too big as to dry out before you use it all, from air trapped in the bottle when it becomes emptier.

You can see in this picture how the 3 Essie Polishes have smaller, lower profile bottles. I like that!

All the colors in the picture above, on my baby who is 2, and sits very still and girly-like and lets me paint them!

I haven't used the Badger Balms yet, or the Fabric softener, still using up the last bottle, so I'll have to get back to you on those, next week. BUT- I did get a chance to try the conditioner, and I do love it. I don't know why I cannot find it on their site, but I cannot. I assume when I bought it on sale it was because it was being taken off the site for products that sell better?

The only other products to tell you about right now then are these two, Kae (Formerly Kaeline) Bath Oil Soothing Concentrate & Burts Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals (1 lb) I got the Kae for a steep discount ( $25.73 )  they had it almost 1/2 off when I bought it, or I never would've. Even at 25$ I expected to get a little more than what I got. What I got was a tiny bottle of oil. I bought both the Burt's Bees and the Kae because they are listed on the site as helping to naturally heal body aches & pains. My back, knee and hip hurt constantly, so I figured it was worth a shot.


The oil itself doesn't smell particularly pleasant, but it's not offensive either. It definitely smells herbal. The Burt's Bees in fact- also smells not pleasant. Except while they do both smell herbal-y the Burt's Bees smells more like Ben-Gay ( or menthol-like).. and I do not like menthol. At all.

The oil; Kae, was so tiny, it's almost laughable. I do not pay attention to sizes and .fl amounts, I wrongly assumed for 50$ (or the right under $30) I paid with my sponsorship gift certificate, that this would be a BIG bottle. It's not much bigger than a tall shot glass.

Actually, I was in excessive pain one day, and put BOTH in the bath, and the family was complaining about the smell., but once you marinate in it a while you get old factory fatigue to it, so it's only offensive smelling (they claim) to the others in the house.

Does it work?

If you are expecting me to tell you that it was a miracle cure, I cannot. But it did help me relax, and  so I did feel better when I got out of the tub. I have used both products quite a bit since I got them, as you can see in the picture.

It did seem to help a bit, but I do want to warn you, these crystals are OUCHIE painful. I sat on a few that hadn't "melted" into the bath water, and it felt like I had a chemical burn. Now of course, Burt's Bees being organic, it wasn't a chemical, per-se` but more of the menthol, and I'm here to tell you, my thighs and butt hurt for a while after I got out too. Be careful for your whoo-ha!
LOL!

So, my suggestion is with the Burt's Bees be sure to swirl it around with your hand, and feel the bottom of the bowl to see if they are all mixed with the water. Don't rest your skin on the concentrated bath crystals. It hurts.

But don't let that scare you off from buying it! I do like it, and I love that it comes in such a large  heavy duty container. It's almost like a paint can, you have to pry the lid off- and inside is a bag of the crystals. You can dump it in the can, as I did, or leave it in the bag. I recommend not using much of either product in your bath water. I suppose these items can be used out of the bath too. Such as put into a tub to soak your tired old feet in. As I will be trying this out later tonight!

Which one did I like best?
If I was running low on money, I'd prefer the Burt's Bees, if I was splurging for luxury, then I'd say the Kae.

It smells woodsy, and not perfume-y. I think this might be a nice change, but the pine smell is very strong. Such a pretty bottle. Love that it's natural.
