" When you’re young, people who are old — like, say, your grandparents or your elderly neighbors — can seem as if they were always that way. But in reality, there’s no neat and magical line that separates “old” and “young.” Old people are, quite simply, former young people. And now, more than ever, they may not see or experience themselves as “old” even if the rest of the world does. The boomers, of course, are the ones who changed all this. They have not gone quaintly,
or quietly, into senior-citizen status — on the contrary, they’ve reconfigured old age to mean nothing more (or less) than how often they’ve been around the block. The new vision of old age is that you’re still tied, physically and spiritually, in every way possible, to who you were when you weren’t old." Owen Gleiberman ( variety.com )
When I had my first child Giana, who is now 13 I met a fascinating, brilliant older man named Jerry Quick, of Birmingham Alabama. Jerry is 71 now, but seems like such a younger man. When I met him he was 58
In any case, Mr Quick became my lawyer as well as my close friend. His political views, albeit over my head slightly, are multi faceted, insightful and perspicacious .
When Jerry told me he was writing a book about Zionists, civil rights.. my first thought was, what is a Zionist? I'm really clueless sometimes. But being from Alabama we are a diverse melting pot and a huge factor in the civil rights movement, we are definitely immersed in that.
He did explain it to me, and it was mind blowing to me, as a 35 year old mother of 4, that the Zionist/Power Elite run our Government and. Control our media. He wrote a book about it, called The Mud Puddle Theory: the Ripple Effect, and you have got to read it. Its available on Barnes & Noble.

Now I know what people think of southern people but we breed some of the most intellectually ambition driven people I know of. And I have lived up north in Connecticut as well. Georgia, too, although still southern.
