DK Publishing #liftTHEflap board books for children #holidayGIFTguide #childrensbooks

I was sent these durable, fun, toddler board books from DK Publishing a few weeks back, and they were so cute I wanted to tell you about them. If you see this "Lift the flap" book in stores this Christmas, you should get it. You lift each little flap and it growls, howls and roars at you. Rowan kept laughing at it. He is almost a year old and such a little cutie.

The 1st book is appropriately named Growl! Howl! Animals! can also be bought online now, using the links provided in this post. The arv is $14.99. Under each flap is a light sensor - this book is marked inappropriate for children under 2, so I do supervise young Rowan with it, but do not reccommend you use this book for a child his age,
I let him see it, and put it up on a shelf out of his reach until next year, when he is a bit older.

This charming jungle story is part of the collection of DK's noisy books for preschoolers.

Young children will love hearing animal sounds as they lift the flaps. Growl! Howl! Animals contains lively rhymes to help children discover life in the jungle. With 16 lift the flaps and 5 light-activated sounds, including a baby orangutan, a parrot, and a crocodile splish-splashing, Growl! Howl! Animals combines early learning with preschool play and is ideal for reading aloud with babies and toddlers.

Here are some pictures of the book, but pictures don't do it justice! So cute!

The other book we reviewed is Get Ready for School which has 45 fun learning lift-the-flaps.
I wanted this book for my older child Devonny who is 5 and just started school. This book retails for 12.99.
I did like the Growl! Howl! Animals book better, but they were both very fun interactive book that both my children enjoyed!
This book has lots of learning underneath each flap with colors, numbers and more!

That is what I love about the board books from DK Publishing. You can have them for such a long time, they really grow with your child and stand up to a lot of the punishment small children can do to books. Add these children's books and other books to your holiday gift guide this year, because books are way better than toys at Christmas, in my opinion, you can never have too many books.

Get ready to play, get ready to learn, get ready for school.

This interactive board book is designed to support childhood development through the early years. The themed lift-the-flaps and peep-throughs in I'm Ready for School enable a child to learn key skills and knowledge in the comfortable context of play, exploration, and discussion about real-life experiences. Key concepts such as morning routines, eating breakfast, and matching shoes, to colors, shapes, and opposites are all covered in I'm Ready for School to inspire learning and support language skills, social skills, and physical and knowledge development.

This new series of interactive books and games brings the brightest and best start to learning for every child. Key skills are developed through play, exploration, and hands-on experience. Each element of the series supports active learning through creative thinking, boosting confidence, curiosity, and independence. The series provides a solid foundation in reading, arithmetic, and writing, and supports emotional, social, and motor skills development.

The guiding early learning developmental milestones of school readiness inform each part of the program, supporting parents as they help their little ones to get ready for school. The colorful characters — the storyteller, the adventurer, and the creator — were developed as an engaging and effective way to inspire a confident, curious, and capable child who will be ready for school
