As the calendar turns toward December, kids everywhere are pondering if it is better to give or to receive a lovingly made bracelet or ribbon barrette from one of Choose Friendship's five creative kits. The blissful buzz on these crafty sets can be heard online, on the school bus and down the street as kids -- boys and girls -- create one-of-a-kind accessories that don't require chargers, plugs or batteries.
A handmade creation like a friendship bracelet is a wonderful visual reminder of a bond between two buddies or two siblings. When it's handmade, it's made with kindness, affection and thoughtfulness, traits every kid should envelop. Just in time for the holidays, Choose Friendship has two brand new kits for fall, along with three best sellers.
I have to tell you.. we've had our share of not so great toys and craft kits.. this is certainly not a bad toy. In fact- while reviewing it, I discovered that this is so far, been the BEST TOY I've reviewed all year!
The My Image Bracelet maker is almost effortless, comes with storage for the accessories for it, and is so ridiculously simple, it's crazy! I absolutely love it!
The My Image Bracelet maker comes with 5 image sheets, and a nifty index card that points you toward a website to print out your own images in just the right size!! All the cards also fit in the storage drawer, so no worries about losing them either!! You can also buy refill tiles only, which is super handy!
We love that you can personalize it, and really tell your own story! Plus, it's so bright and colorful, and I know I said it already, but it really is so simple. You just determine the amount of tiles you'll need for the size bracelet that you'll require, and lay them out on the designated spot. You take the provided elastics and thread them right through! They slip on oh-so easily!
Since there are alphabet tiles, you can make them spell things too!I made Gigi's bracelet say "Giana K"!
On the flip side of the bracelet, I made it say "I Love You"! Awww!~
Its even easy to cut the tiles, and no worries of getting hurt doing it. You just slide the sheet in underneath the "cutting square", line it up carefully, and push the plunger located on the side/top of the bracelet maker. The image pops UP into the air, and lands on the tray, so you don't even have to dig it out! Giana got a real kick out of that part! Every time we cut one, and it "flew" up in the air, she got the giggles like crazy!
The glue that it comes with, was the only issue I had, so we used our own.. the glue that came with mine, didn't seem to be strong enough to make the paper stick to the plastic tiles...
Look at our finished creation! How stinking cute, right?
I really can't stress enough how impressed I was with this toy/craft! And I mean it when I say this is our favorite toy this year!! You should add this toy to your Holiday Shopping List!
We can't wait to make more! They also sell other different models of friendship bracelet makers, so be sure to check out the other models too!
