So, why cedar?

Because is a lightweight and dimensionally stable wood that lies flat and stays straight, which means it resists the natural tendency. Most people do not know that Pine has 2 1/2 times more water content than Cedar. The excessive moisture in pine logs can lead to a host of problems. That's one reason is that it has naturally lower moisture content than pine, and years of hassle free enjoyment for you.

I loved this trellis screen and it definitely gives my front porch a more closed off feeling and makes it seem more inviting and cozy!

Initially I wasn't sure if I wanted to paint it white, but in the end, I decided to just leave it natural. I will put a finish on it, when I am ready to mount it. Since I do not have another to hinge it to, I will mount it to the wall pf my house, or hang it by a hook, right now I am unsure. The hubby is currently deployed, and I am unskilled in the department of woodworking and general home maintenance, so I figured I will add it to his honey-do list for when he comes back!

My favorite item on their site is the Adirondack chair! I also love this Pergola Garden Swing!!! What's yours?

Unfortunately All Things cedar come to find out has a horrible Customer Service rep named Brian. He withheld my winners prize until I posted on Amazon a review, and the Trellis wasn't even on Amazon is the funny thing. Real mature, right? When I pointed out it was petty, he got really mad, instead of simply apologizing for his ignorance on dealing with bloggers. In any case, they ship very slow, so just beware this company a little bit. The trellis is nice, the "Customer Service/Marketing" ... ehhh- not so much!
