Peter Pauper Press #giveaway 3/1 **CLOSED!!**

Peter Pauper Press has amazing books that you can find online, or in stores. I saw them recently at my local Micheal's store. I was so impressed with the quality of these books, and I want to offer my LoE readers a giveaway today! The winner (1) will receive any ONE book from their site! That's a wonderful deal! You can choose one of the books I reviewed, or if something else interests you...
I chose these three books to "test drive" with Giana, my incredibly bright and articulate six year old.

Ready, set, draw! Under the Sea!

Price: $15.99

Giana is learning how to draw, and get's better as the months pass. This book would be perfect to show her how to combine shapes and lines to create different animals. Perfect for sparking her creative imagination! Of the three books we ordered, this was her favorite! She has filled out almost every page, and gets so excited to show me her drawings! It comes with four double ended dual color pencils. The book is thick hardcover, the pages quality stock thick and durable. You can tear out the perforated pages to display in the refrigerator, or as I prefer, leave them in the book to reminisce on later. It really did make it easy for her to draw them and she did a great job!
From diving dolphins to funny clown fish, a wiggly octopus, swimming sea horses, kids choose from 18 different adorable creatures to draw! Little artists gain confidence and creativity when following the simple, visual, step-by-step instructions to draw all their favorite sea creatures. Includes removable 48-page sketch pad and 4 double-ended colored pencils. 40 pages, covered wire-o binding, 11-1/2'' wide x 12'' high. Ages 4 and up.

Scratch & Sketch - Furry Friends
$14.99
This is her second favorite book. Although she isn't as good at it, as I hoped she would be, she still does a great job! I think she simply becomes impatient and wants to hurry and do them all at once. I try to tell her to slow down and take her time, but she says she's doing the best she can. This is neat because it comes with a wooden stylus and the pages are coated and you simply scratch off the coating on the lines to make colorful or metallic sparkly images/outlines of some cute animals. Each animal has a fact about it on the opposite page, so it also offers a learning activity! The book is much smaller than the extra large Ready, Set, Draw, but that makes it easier for travel. Like- when we go to the gym and she sits in the Tot Drop.  Your little one can also color in all the pages when she is done. Thick spiral bound hardcover it is durable and fun for your artistic little one.

Easy Trace-Along book allows younger artists (5 and up) to use the wooden drawing tool enclosed to trace the outlines of puppies, kittens, ponies, and more that appear on black-coated scratch art pages. Kids will be delighted to see furry friends come alive in swirls of colors and glittery foil! They can also use the sketch pages in the back to draw their own pictures of favorite animal friends. Ages 5 and up. "Furry Friends" Scratch & Sketch Art Activity Book includes: Wooden stylus for drawing on black-coated paper to reveal glittering, gleaming colors beneath. Wire-o bound hardcover binding. 20 scratch-off, 20 illustrated, and 20 sketch pages. 6-3/8'' wide x 8-1/2'' high. Non-toxic: Potential eye irritant. Avoid inhaling particles of scratch coating. Not for children under 5 years. Meets all applicable safety standards.

Brainiacs - Secret Agent activity book
$12.99

Although this book is suggested for kids 8 & up, Giana usually breezes right through books predicted for much older ages, so I figured this would be OK, and fun for her. She has a little of it figured out, but as I flip through it, I realize it is much tougher than I thought it would be. It has sections to fingerprint many people, and "solve the case", and she frequently asks for my help figuring out this book. It comes with a "magic pen" which is an invisible ink type thing that appears in special circumstances. It comes with a stamper to fingerprint your friends and family too. My advice? This book is for a child 8 & up, definitely. I plan to put it up and give it to her later, when she can perhaps enjoy and understand it more. As with the other books we reviewed, this book is quality thick hardcover with impressive illustrations!

Have fun learning to be a secret agent! Send secret messages with code rings; solve mysteries; get lost in mazes; fingerprint your friends; and learn about true spies of the past. Use the invisible ink pen (included) to write really magic messages! Includes ink pad for taking fingerprints.128 pages. Ages 8 and up. Concealed wire-o binding; hardcover. 7-3/4" wide x 8-1/4" high.
