#nsNation Sooooo.. got good news and some bad!

It's time for my Nutrisystem  check in.
What do you want first- the good, or the bad?
Lets start with the bad first! it's like pulling off a band-aid. Just get it over with.
I did horrible on portions this Thanksgiving. I am a little piggy! *Oink!*
I can't help it. I am going to "brag" a little bit and say it:
I am a really good cook.
Add to that.. + I was raised in the south, where they eat deep fat fried butter sticks.
Ok.. I am kidding about that last part!
I had cake, dressing, gravy, pork, fudge, and sweet potato casserole.
Yum..

The good news.
I actually went to the gym! First time in about 4 months. I am stoked. Besides being out of shape.. I worked out cardio for about an hour and a half and burned a whopping 600 calories!
I even took some pictures on my celly!

Look! Also took my weight, and will continue to take it at every check-in so you can see how I am faring. Hopefully it will wake me up about my eating habits.

So what do I think so far?

The portion sizes are taking some getting used to. Since it's too early to talk about if I am, in fact losing weight yet.. lets talk about my opinion about the meal delivery!
The frozen food arrived in pristine condition; dry Ice intact and food un-melted!
Side note* - I love playing with dry ice, but do not touch it with your bare hands. Not that I did- I know better. Just making sure none of you try to!
The cooler is a big Styrofoam cooler.

Here's an image of how it is packed in for you!

The shelf-stable food filled up my pantry! So far the only thing I do not care for- which I thought I would like the most was the biscuits and gravy. But I think I over-cooked the biscuit. I have a few more of those.. so we'll try again. Also, the powdered shelf stable eggs seemed really strange looking before I cooked them. I assumed they would taste horrible but shockingly- I liked them! Summing this up.. food I think I will like, I didn't. What I didn't think I would like.. I did!
Speaking of opinions of food. If you plan on ordering Nurtisystem, do like I did, and read the reviews underneath each food before deciding. That helped me a little. you can also organize them by that too on the site!

  1. I was considering Nutrisystem but I don't think they have a ton of vegan options for me. I'm trying a different meal delivery service though and though it's quite a splurge, it's a great way to try different kinds of foods and ensure balanced eating. Gyms I don't do but when the weather is nice you can't keep me inside. I love biking, walking in the woods, on the beach and I don't really enjoy jogging but to me it's better than the treadmill.
