I am always singing the praises of caffeine so its really no surprise that I am a coffee freak!
I bet your also not surprised that I got a coffee review from New England Coffee. Super impressive quick fact - they have 95 years of coffee making under their belt!
I adore iced coffee. It is actually how I got stared on coffee. I didn't care for hot coffee, although I do tolerate it rarely now. I still do not understand or will attempt to- drink coffee without a ton of sugar and creme. But that same goes for my opinion of tea. I don't care for it hot.. and I dont care for it unsweetened. Being that I love iced coffee like I do, I am super tickled to find some brewing tips on their site- and want to share them now with you:

Iced Coffee Brewing Tips
Coffee Cubes: For ice cubes that will chill your drink without watering it down, try filling an ice cube tray with the left over coffee from your morning batch. If you’re looking for a funky twist, try different flavored coffee cubes. As the cubes melt, they’ll add to the flavor of your iced coffee, making each sip a little surprise. Learn more about how to brew.Pour Some Sugar in Me
If you’re a fan of brewing your coffee hot and then chilling it, add sugar or sweetener when the coffee is still hot so that it will dissolve more easily. Or better yet, add sugar syrup instead of regular granulated sugar, since syrup dissolves better in liquids.
Try Me Iced, Brew Me Cold
Ensure you have iced coffee to get you through the hot day tomorrow by cold brewing tonight. Stir together 1/3 cup of freshly ground coffee (we recommend medium ground) with 1 ½ cups of water, cover and leave out at room temperature overnight. The next morning, strain it through a coffee filter twice, and add another cup of cold water. Serve over ice with a bit of milk, and you’ve got a tasty iced coffee without turning on your coffee maker!
Did You Know?
Iced coffee is best with darker-roast coffee blends. We recommend our new Dark Roast Select Coffees!

Add condensed milk! Vietnamese coffee lovers will swear by this sweetener. Try our version of Vietnamese Iced Coffee, the San Fran Frappe. I was lucky enough to receive 3 bags of coffee!

Peach Cobbler Coffee - is a very light roast. Which is hard to put on ice to be perfectly frank..but it was a very pleasant coffee, with a lovely aftertaste! I love peaches! We actually planted a peach tree in our front yard last spring and it put out a ton of baby peaches this year! So it was ironic that they sent it to me. Not everyone likes peach stuff. Lucky for me- I do! I really liked this coffee too.

Blueberry Cobbler Coffee
Blueberry Cobbler Coffee Also, another really light roast. But- of the three sent.. my absolute favorite! It's actually almost gone. I have been brewing about 3 glasses on ice a day using my Keurig and my My-K-Cup basket. I don't know exactly how to word it- that's worthy of how tasty it is! Trust me- I wouldn't have thought I would've liked it... but I did! It has the best aftertaste!
Again, only $6.49 for 11oz!
I noticed an awesome recipe using the BlueBerry cobbler coffee on their website! So I figured.. why not? Lets try it out, snce I like this one so much! And you know what? It was sinfully good!
Here it is-
Blueberry Ice Cream Dream
Yield: 1 large glass
- 1 cups brewed New England Blueberry Cobbler Coffee, chilled
- 3 ice cubes (about 2 1/2 cups)
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
Place the cup of chilled brewed coffee, the ice cream and the ice cubes in a blender container. Cover and blend until the ice is finely crushed. To serve, pour the coffee mixture into a glass.
There's other great recipes on their site too!
LAST - but certainly not least :
New England EyeOpener™ Coffee
The medium roast of this coffee really does stand up better to ice, but I am a sucker for flavored coffees!
New England Eye Opener was my husband's favorite. He doesn't really go for the flavored coffees like I do. If I have an unflavored coffee, I will add syrup to it! But it works out that way.. I don't have to share with him!
Again, only $6.49 for 11oz!

ReplyDeleteI am now following you!
Never even heard of this coffee. I see you've reviewed Community Coffee in the past. That is our coffee of choice. Thanks for stopping by Life or Something Like It and following. Following you back! I'll keep in mind the Christmas contest.
ReplyDeleteI need to look into this. I am a Dr.Pepper addict but I've gotten so old and so tired that the caffeine in it doesn't do it for me anymore. I am on the hunt for the perfect coffee drink for me. My husband drinks it black which I KNOW isn't for me. Ick.
